Well, Happy New Year to you, too, even if it's only a week late.
By the way, a plus to living in Japan is that firework safety regulations are virtually non-existant. Meaning we have James Bond music playing in the background while fireworks go off in sync with the music right over our heads.

There's a disappointing lack of quality fireworks displays in New Zealand.
