Does anyone else think that Johnny Depp should be in the Harry Potter movies? Maybe as Firenze some one hot who gets introduced later in the books. :D

I voted no. It just seems that he's in everything nowadays. There aren't too many characters that he could play anyway. All the roles are filled in GoF, and there aren't too many new roles introduced in OoTP, unless you count a few members of The Advance Guard, but even then the roles of Lupin, Moody and such have already been filled. Was Firenze introduced in the first movie as he was in the book? I can't remember, it's been a while since I last saw it. Either way, I don't really think there's a position for Depp. He can doubtless play a number of roles, and if offered one he may well take it, but who on earth could he possibly play? How many roles are there left?

I love Johnny Depp, but I don't think there's room for him in the Harry Potter movies. He might have been nice as Sirius, but I'm quite satisfied with Gary Oldman. By the way, he's American, so JKR wouldn't allow it anyway.

Personally I think Johnny Depp would make a wonderful Sirius Black but he can't because he isn't British is he and they only wanted British actors and actresses for it didn't they.

I think that Depp would have made a decent Sirius, Lupin, Snape or even Voldermort. But, as others have said, he's American and most of the roles have already been cast.

Personally, I think that James Marsters (plays "Spike" in Buffy and Angel) would have made the best Sirius Black ever. Garry Oldman was excelent, but I would have loved to see what Marsters would have done with the role. But, once again he's American. I saw him in an interviw once and I think he said that he's from Canada. I was rather surprised by this, because when he plays Spike, his Brittish accent is so perfect that I just assumed the actor was from England.

Ah...Johnny Depp has a wonderful Scottish accent...he even reverts to it when he isn't supposed to in part of Pirates of the Caribbean...he could pass himself off as a Scottish actor very easily if he really wanted to but then again I don't think Sirius was Scottish but I'm sure Johnny Depp ca do english when he wants to. Sign of a really good actor when they can switch accents like that.

yeah, i can't think of anyone he would play either. i mean, he's a really really really good actor, but he's not "magic"-y. kind of. he's just in so many movies but i dont hink he'd fit in well in harry potter. although he probably could act many of the things out anyway, just not look the part..or, uhh, i'm confusing myself.

Sirius Black, that is who he would play....I always imagined Sirius to look alot like Edward Scissorhands actually, you know, messy curly black hair, gaunt look which suits mr Depp's facial structure perfectly with those high cheek bones and pretty eyes and the pale white complexion...actually, sirius...

Johnny Depp can do magical, he can do anything....I think Sleepy Hollow was a bit magical, so was Pirates of the Caribbean really...wizards are just muggles with a wand, they look the same as muggles so why shouldn't he fit a magical role?

I voted no. He would change the feeling of the movies I think for the bad, and although it would most likely bring more people to the books, they would be criticizing them because it wasn't EXACTLY like the way Jhonny Depp played it in the movies. I HATE people like that! Ugh! the books are how its supposed to be, not the movies! (sorry i wenty on like that, but the opinion of the books at my school is that way with Rupert and Emma at my school except for me, and I can't get over it!)

So once again, I vote no.

Thats how it always happens though no matter who plays it because books and movies can never be quite the same. Doesn't matter who plays the roles he is still fgoing to do it differently from the books...

I voted "yes" *gets booed lol*

When I voted I didn't try to imagine him as any HP chacter, I just think since he is a great actor he would make a great addition to the HP cast :D

Hey...see movie Chocolat!

Not only can Johnny Depp do a perfect Scottish accent but he also has a perfect and very sexy Irish accent.
