Book/Short Story Analasys

hey!
I've got this analysis that i'm supposed to make of a book, and one of a short story, and i'm having a lot of trouble figuring it out. The book is called SULA by Toni Morrison (sp?) and the short story is called The Most Dangerous Game by Richard Connell.
I dont get Sula AT ALL, and i get The Most Dangerous Game, but, how do i analyse it?

Unfortunately I don't know the books, but as for the analysis in general, I think you are supposed to tell a few word about the author, give a short summary, then maybe describe the main characters, and also the language and the style, and then the main thoughts, etc.

Havn't read either of them sorry.

As for the analysis, just try to think: what themes and ideas was the author trying to get across? Did they work for you? Explain what the ideas were and what part they play in the story (examples, quotes) Could the ideas be interpreted differently? Pretty much what Broccoli said. Language, style author etc.

yeah, i' mtrying to do that but The mOst Dangerous Game is getting pretty complicated!. *sigh*
