After the end

Postby Jotomicron » Thursday 9 September 2004 11:34:35am

This started in the thread "The Olympics".

Sometime in the future... (deep future)... Harry Potter's last movie and book will have been released. What next?
(To put it in emale Alien's words: will you leave, stay, cry for HP, ...?)

You mean leave or stay here, in the forum?

Well... *thinks hard* I believe that part of the charm of these books lies in the fact that they're not yet finished and the readers can guess, theorise, argue, think... Not like with LOTR which is already finished. But I guess that after the book 7, something will change, but we can still discussed something like LOTR fans are discussing. But yet... it will be strange. :-?

There is a point to bring out.
In the internet world, time passes faster...you can see drastic changes in BaO within a month, let alone a few years (before we get to see 7th book in the market)
So...it is hard to say if you will leave, stay, cry? Who knows...maybe I will lose interest and get on to the working life?

Whatever it is, cherish the moment now

Glad to see you krum! (woohoo!)

Choki is right, cherish the moment!
...But I think i'll stay because I joined here because of Hp but I'm not posting only because of him. I'm posting because of you guys who I find great - because of the fun we're having here and new friendships.

So, I'll stay... I won't cry... I'll comment the HP books and movies just as we did till now (someone will always see a new important detail) and maybe JK will write some new books (not HP realted but books)

I'm staying

Well, I must say I did a mistake... I voted 'leave' when in fact I intend to stay!! The people here are so great, so good, I wouldn't consider leaving.
Nevertheless, choki's very right, and we don't know what could happen in a few years.

Let's wait and post in the meanwhile.. hehe!

well.. who can say what will happen in the future..i mean, who would have thought a month ago that Won and Barry wont be with us anymore??

currently i am not doing much of harry potter oriented discussions on the forum.. as i am exhausted with theorising, i spend my time here playing wordgames or general kidding around, so i think i would probably do the same after book 7 too. and amyways, i wont completely break contact with BaO members in any case as there are always messengers to chat with them

That's the word!

But I voted for: something else.

I'm doing this ''something else'' right now too, for it's writing (not put online, it's in my lang :( )! If we ever get bored of discussing HP books (source of endless discussions), we may discuss each other's writing ... BTW, Alice I hasn't droped me a note for so long ... my review's waiting :???:

The most important is to keep in touch with cool ppl - loads of common interests, not just HP :D

Im with you too Groo. I dunno, but I have posted lost about the HP books and book 5 when it came out, and now im dry with ideas. I recently (like a couple months ago) engaged into theories with the JK rowling site, but im dry there too. Ahh, so now im also messing around, hanging in the common room, great hall and general disscussion, awaiting more HP material to appear. For now, yea im just sitting around and chatting.

Yeah, I wouldn't be suprised if this actually became more of a general forum once the books and movies are over. However, I hope not.

I think that we should just smile...do a little dance...and agree to cross that bridge when we come to it.

For now, lets concentrate on something happy...like....soda!
