I was wondering where you dissapeared to  Did a lightning really hit your computer? :o Im always being told to turn off TV and computer when there is lightning but I though "ah, what are the chances" ...wow it actually does happen o_o'

Anyway, hope your computer will ...er...come to life soon. ^-^

LOL yup, it does happen. I had always heard that you're supposed to turn the computer off in a storm, too, but I wasn't home. What's REALLY fun, though, is that we had the ONE refrigerator that runs entirely off a computer board... you guessed it. The freakin storm zapped our fridge and rendered it useless, too. After about three months and 400 dollars trying to get it fixed, we finally had to buy a new one. So, to anyone listening out there, ALWAYS make sure the defrost on your fridge has nothing to do with the computer board!!!

No tellin when we can get a new computer, so I'll really only be able to get on if I can get to my dad's, my sister's, or the library. However, I don't go to either of those places on a regular basis, and when I do, it's generally because there's some kind of family gathering, when I feel awkward asking to use the computer.

Okay, well, everyone's gone but me and the boys, and yesterday when I wasn't watching VERY closely, Colin (my one-year-old) climbed halfway up the stairs. To make it even more fun, he's a little daredevil, and the banister and balcony has basically just two railings, with the bottom one about 18 inches off the floor. Which means, if he had gotton to the top and found himself stuck, he would have just dived off the balcony to try to get down. I nearly had a heart attack! All this to say, they're playing in the next room, so I'll talk to you guys later!

 OMG!!! They are really a handful  (esp. Colin) How old is Colin's brother?

and wow, that thunderstorm was ....really expensive :( I do hope you get a new computer soon, but now that you had to replace the fridge and everything thats probably gonna take sometime -_-' Thanks for warning about computer controlled fridge- I always figured they all worked the same and the only difference would be space wise...^-^

yeah, my mum knew someone at work who had all her computers and phones blown off the wall because the lightning apparently runs down phone lines so you have to unplugg all the phone lines during lightning storms. The person also had her gable end fall down in that storm....
