LOL yup, it does happen. I had always heard that you're supposed to turn the computer off in a storm, too, but I wasn't home. What's REALLY fun, though, is that we had the ONE refrigerator that runs entirely off a computer board... you guessed it. The freakin storm zapped our fridge and rendered it useless, too. After about three months and 400 dollars trying to get it fixed, we finally had to buy a new one. So, to anyone listening out there, ALWAYS make sure the defrost on your fridge has nothing to do with the computer board!!!
No tellin when we can get a new computer, so I'll really only be able to get on if I can get to my dad's, my sister's, or the library. However, I don't go to either of those places on a regular basis, and when I do, it's generally because there's some kind of family gathering, when I feel awkward asking to use the computer.
Okay, well, everyone's gone but me and the boys, and yesterday when I wasn't watching VERY closely, Colin (my one-year-old) climbed halfway up the stairs. To make it even more fun, he's a little daredevil, and the banister and balcony has basically just two railings, with the bottom one about 18 inches off the floor. Which means, if he had gotton to the top and found himself stuck, he would have just dived off the balcony to try to get down. I nearly had a heart attack! All this to say, they're playing in the next room, so I'll talk to you guys later!
