Excuse me...Pheonix's avatar is a combination of the Pheonix on the book cover and a Flamingo...no ostritches thank you very much!

*pouts*

And I thought it was a good pheonix...there is also a pheonix head and two pheonixes on a tree in the kind of style that the art for the Lord of the Rings movies is done.

The problem with drawing pheonixes is that they are birds and therefor covered in feathers which take longer than scales because the outline for each feather must be drawn in pencil to get the correct placement then redone in pen and finally made to look like a feather in pen...its hell. I hate feathers.

Oh yeah, like when Pixar's making animations and they have to animate each hair one by one...

At least they've got state-of-the-art computer animation technology to help them though. :D

Ergh, oh well... I quite like this really.

I would like to announce the addition of an art gallery to my own website thanks to my friend Chris.

http://www.sonkem.co.uk/gallery/index.php

So for those of you who have been itching to see more than just my favourite/newest 100 pictures here is your chance.

At the moment noone else can register for it I think but you can all add comments and rate pictures.

Have ressurected my old DeviantArt account and am steadily filling it with all my artwork not already in my elfwood gallery. That means lots and lots of old art including my first ever dragon (called Jase).

http://sonkem.deviantart.com/

I was really bored, yes I did just manage to get 64 pictures on deviantart in less than half a day...and I only just touched letter l in my art folder...
