Oh, es verdad:

Donde tu?- Where do you live?
Hola!-Hi!
Buenos Dias!-Good Day
Buenos tardes-Good Afternoon
Buenos noches-Good night

Hermione, I'm almost sure you can't say Donde tu?, you need to add the verb: ¿Donde eres tu?
And it's Buenas tardes and Buenas noches, because "tardes" and "noches" are feminin nouns.

Could you translate this?It is a bit hard I understand just some of the words.

Maybe you understand it if I say that "ustedes hablan" is the same as "vosotros hablais".
The all translations would be: Today's Saturday, I'm in BaO and I see that you (plural) speak a lot of languages.

How are you? I'm ok. I don't know where you're from. Germany, maybe?. I'd be very pleased to lern German, but I think that (and this is some sort of idiomatic expression) I would be no good at it

Oh... of course!! I forgot that particular "de" thing!! That's because we in portugal would say "donde és (tu)?"... I just forgot I was "spanishing" and not "portuguesing"!!! Hahaha

BTW, Yes, Krum! I also agree with you! Math is and will always be the universal and non-temporal language... 2+2=4 (translation: Hurray for Math )

Well pomme de terre is also the French for potato, which is far less cool. It's like the German for Hippo is "horse of the Nile", or Nilpferd (ferd being horse and Nilp the Nile).

Actually it's "Nil" and "Pferd" - the Nil is pronounced like in "one nil to us" and I just don't know how to explain the pronunciation of Pferd

A few german sentences (we haven't had too many yet, I think):
Mein Name ist X. (My name is X)
Er/sie/es kommt aus Österreich/Deutschland. (He/she/it is from Austria/Germany)
Wie geht es dir? (How are you?)
Wie geht es euch? (How are you? in plural)
Ich mag Harry Potter sehr (gerne). (I like Harry Potter very much)

If you have any questions concerning German, feel free to ask... Oh, what I always wanted to ask: how do your keyboards look like? I mean, you don't have umlaut keys, have you? At least not every keyboard is an umlaut keyboard - the Swiss, for example, don't know "ß", they always write ss.

Mine is a Slovak one, so there're no umlaut (?) keys, there's no ß, but there're long vowels like á, é, í, ó, ô... and some other things...

As far as i know, they usually are ASDFGHJKL (the spanish one includes "ñ" at the end of the row), which is called a QWERTY keyboard. I know it's different in France, but i don't remember the order of the letters.
i guess accents also change...
must be weird to write in english when your keyboard has cyrillic characters...

Well, I actually have both Cyrillic and German characters.

By the way, in a German keyboard the Y and Z are swapped, so it's not a qwerty but a qwertz keyboard And there is ö near l instead of ;.
