I love all the Characters but my absolute favourites are Legolas and Aragorn (Orlando Bloom *sighs*)!!!!

I love the movies and the books, and coming from NZ and having the movies made here was awesome and winning 11 oscars!!! well i think it was 11 maybe 12 not sure....

11 Oscars it was.
And Scellanis, you can argue all you wantabout how they didn't stick to the storyline and all that, which is true, but if you're making a movie, you're making it for a crowd, and not all the people that are going to see the movie have the reading ability to read the book, so htey do have to lighten the mood slightly.
All in all... any film that wins 11 Oscars can't be all that bad.

(Sam was my favourite character in the book and films.)

11 Oscars, go LOTR!!!

It was so hard to choose between the characters, but I chose Aragorn. His speech at the black gate was the best line of the movie. I used to go around reciting it all the time last year.

the books are a little hard to get through in some places. There's this one part in ROTK that changes characters in mid-chapter or something, and every time I get to it, I get so confused that I put the book down for a couple months. But it's all downhill from there.

Pippin was the funniest character in the whole series. Quote Gandalf: "Fool of a Took!"
