Has everyone here read the new book?

Postby Broccoli » Monday 19 December 2005 8:15:47am

I can't help noticing that most book-related discussions take place in the HBP sections, so I am curious to know if there are still people who haven't read the new book. Maybe we should merge the HBP sections with the rest of the forum some time soon?

I think it's safe to say, that it's a consensus of everyone having read the book.

And the merge consists of moving all this topics in the section the books? Or at theories? Or how do you see this merge? From my point of view, since everyone is posting in this threads the most...why shouldn't they be kept on top of the page? Oh well...I don't really care so in the end do whatever you like. Just hope you don't loose any theory on the move.

SunsetG|rl there is no need to worry about loosing things and where they will be put because the same was done for the Order of the Pheonix, we had all the sections above but merged it hence why there is still a Pheonix free area but it has no sections now....

The moderators and Paul are quite capable of moving threads without loosing them.

As Scellanis said: no need to worry about the losses. As for leaving the section where it is so that it's always on top - I find it inconvinient because we will still have to watch for spoilers in the old sections. When the majority of users have read the book, it is better to merge the section to avoid confusion and additional work. I guess Paul has to make the final decision though.

Well, if you put it like that, the majority of users had probably read the book by September.. but yes, it would be nice to be able to have more free threads, particularly I've found in my RPG, there's just lots of little things that have cropped up in HBP that I'd prefer not to mention is case of spoiling... even though I know that even if I write them, chances are I won't be spoiling anything for anyone... Oh well. :-?
