There must be some motivation that set you on fire about fasting for a week. What was it?

I don't know... I mean, when I think of fasting, yes I think of not eating for a time for a reason... Krum just seems to have decided to not eat to see if he can... *shrug* I don't think it's healthy, and I still don't think it's a good idea, but some chick from a message board isn't going to have any effect in trying to convince him of it being unhealthy...

Ummm, if you're thinking that taking vitamins and protein (and what kind of protein are you "taking"? you get proteins from foods) and you think that that keeps you from starving, you're really mistaken. Something I learned while pregnant and after having Colin (wish I would have learned it with Cameron, I wouldn't have felt ill for a long time afterwards): if the vitamins you're taking don't have acid to break them down, they have nothing to work on. If you're not eating, and your stomach isn't breaking foods down, the acid in your stomach is low, and the vitamins are useless. Vitamins are meant to be supplements, not substitutes. Just promise that if you start getting weak, faint, shaky, or otherwise experience abnormal effects that you'll have a healthy snack, okay?

ok, so the guy, who told me about that not-eating thing tellsme to eat a fruit a day and drink tea.And starving for a week doesn't help you loose weight, it helps you be healthier if you know what you're doing

This is, without a doubt, one of the most ignorant statements regarding health and weight loss I've ever heard (and I've come up with some doozies myself)

The healthy way to eat is to eat enough, but to eat the right things. So a good balance of complex carbohydrates, proteins, dairy, fruits and vegetables with minimum fat and empty calories, along with steady excersize is healthy.

Expecting your body to run on nothing but tea and a single piece of fruit a day is NOT healthy. Since excersizing is healthy, and since your body can't excersize regularly (sure, you might could for two or three days, but eventually you need the calories, otherwise known as energy, to be able to excersize) when you're starving, then how does it follow that starving your body is healthy in any way?

day 3 went by and i've never felt better in my life.My body has started to feed off my fat reserves and i'm considerably thinner.COOL!!!And i have never felt better in my life-i have the urge to move, to think, it's all so easier.

btw if you don't want to gain those 10 pounds back after a "hungry" diet, it's reccomended that you take your time to resume feeding-7 days hunger-at lest 5 days of low-fat and high-vitamin food like vegetables and stuff-just to get you back on the road and trigger your digestive system(or you could just chew gum-it makes your acids and stuff in your stomache awaken)

I'm glas you feel better Krum - but I really don't see how can you think better? I really hope everything's gonna be alright.
And I hope you read what others wrote. Now when you lose som weight, after this starvation of yours, you'll get your kilos back and more. If your doing this so you couls get thinner, it's useless.

Good luck! :o

well, regardless, I don't think you should come on here and act as though it's healthy and it's something everyone should try, because it is definately something that should be discussed with your doctor about.

even if you're feeling great, in general, it's a rather stupid thing to do.

Krum your folks didn't know you were doing this?
How did you manage to go six days without eating and your mom only now just noticed because of a rumbling stomach?
Don't you have family meal time in your home?
Please do not take offense or get me wrong:
I am not trying to sound like I am dissing your family practices, because maybe your folks work odd scheduals making family meals difficult.
I thought most families have meals together at least a couple times a week.
I am kind of suprised that your folks were unaware of what you were doing.
I am glad that your mom has you eating again though.
