Happy Father's Day! :)

Postby Lizzy Bennet » Sunday 15 June 2003 3:01:40pm

Today (June 15) is Father's Day, and though I doubt there are any fathers on here  (though, I could be wrong!!), I hope all of you enjoy the day with your fathers, grandfathers, etc. I am spending the day with my parents and my paternal grandparents . . . we're going out on our boat to cruise and have lunch as there isn't a cloud in the sky! :D Should be fab! The only thing that would make it better would be if I already had that darn Harry Potter book coming out in SIX DAYS!!! :o

What are your plans for Father's Day? Doing anything fun? I think mine should be pretty enjoyable. I also played the 'Keebler Elf' last night and baked chocolate chip cookies for my family. And now, it's time for me to scat to start in on the festivities . . . hope you lot have a great day (or if it's already passed for you, hope you HAD a great one!). :D

my dad forgot all about fathers day so it was nice to surprise him! I didn't make a very good job of it this year though, i forgot to buy wrapping paper so i had to wrap up his present in newspaper. It took him ages to open it because he wanted to read the headlines on the paper! He even unwrapped it as carefully as possible so he could re-fold the paper back together and read it

Happy Fathers Day, everyone! I hope that everyone has/had a truly enjoyable day!

We made my father a real breakfast this morning (the whole pancakes and wafles thing, 'twas fun) and probably aren't going to do much else today, just relax in this lovely summer weather! It finally stopped raining in NY!

I hope everyone's had a better Father's day than I've had ;)

It actually wasn't that bad. We stayed at home until about 3, and then we went shopping, and then we spent about half an hour debating about where to go for dinner. We ended up deciding on Felix #9, this tiny dark little diner (my dad was itching for diner food). It was really dark inside, and everything was sticky from grease and other stuff I don't want to think about. They had these juke boxes from years and years ago, and the restaurant itself smelled of smoke. I got sick from the food. But at least my dad got what he wanted, I think :p

Happy Father's Day 2003!!!

we took my Dad to Cooker for lunch, and had a nice day just hangin with the fam :P my brother was driving back from a concert a few hours away though so he wasn't aroud...but it was still nice. i didn't get him a present, i know it sounds mean, but i don't usually get my parents presents for mother's/father's day. i just never have... most of the time I'll maake them some sort of a meal though...breakfast in bed, that type of thing.
