Well since he said he liked the other forum "MUCH better" he won't be having any interest in returning here.

And I'm just curious how this ip-ban works. Cause I for one, am in a LAN and changed my ip many times. So if I would get an IP ban and then change my ip....would I still be banned?

Nope, we have know way of knowing your internet connection, aside from your IP adress. People with dial-up connections don't need to worry about IP bans.

one can, however, be banned based on cookies as far as I know, so the ban is related to the specific computer you are using and not your IP address.

Yeah, I think this topic has pretty much served it's purpose. All the accounts banned by Arun have been restored and now everything is back to normal. Thank you Siruk and Scellanis for posting the initial information. Now let's just put all of this behind us.
