Thank you Scellanis!
Hufflepuff is sort of like being an American...
Slytherin take the purebloods....Hufflepuff does too!
Gryffindor take the brave...Hufflepuff does too!
Ravenclaw takes the cleverest...Hufflepuff does too!
In addition to that, like Scellanis said, we also take the patient, loyal, hardworking people. Add that to the fact that we accept purebloods, the brave, and the clever ones, we are a regular
melting pot, just like the USA. We are a mix of all the best character traits!
We don't close our doors to someone because we have passed judgement on them and determined they aren't worthy. All people are created equal! As to what house to choose to be in on this forum...surely each house has a lot of fun people in it -- each house has great qualities. Some of the houses have more active members than others, so you may like a place with lots of "old blood"...or perhaps you prefer a place with not so many active members where you can possibly move up the ladder quickly into respected positions such as prefects or moderators. Being a member in a smaller group allows you a stronger voice in things.
I personally prefer our smaller group. I never get lost in the shuffle. Anytime I speak, the group listens and the same goes for anyone else in our house...because there are fewer of us, we all get to know each other. If I have ideas, they are heard, and not just overlooked. There are no preformed cliques in a small group like there might be in a larger group.
In comparison, it's sort of like buying stock. Do you want to go with the safe bet...a stock that stays steady in price and make modertate to good return on your investment...or do you live on the edge and take a risk with a new stock -- an up and coming company that could make you rich?!
At any rate, there is a house for everyone. No house is better than the others, it's all a matter of where you fit best. You will have fun no matter which house you choose.
