I thought this could be interesting seeing as though we haven't had this discussion yet...

What is your favorite book to read aloud ?

Mine would be my own stories..

I enjoy reading Harry Potter- because I get to try out so many different voices and imagine backgrounds for such a wide array of characters, it's really useful for my acting to be able to slip into the mindset of any character that I'm given.

Also, Lord of the Rings- it's descriptions sound even better out loud, and the songs and poems are just begging to be given voice- and the Abhorsen trilogy just because I love it.

And, I'm not sure if this counts, but my Leaver's Book. To hear what everyone wrote about me out loud, even if they'd never dare speak it themselves, makes me tingle.

I don't read aloud but The Hobbit is good, my big sister read that to us. Just so long as we skip the chapter about giant spiders...
