Yeah, JKR made that known to all a while ago. Plus there is a description out there somewhere that describes the HBP as someone who is handsome. At least thats what I've imagined.

I saw that she said it wasn't Harry and Voldemort...didnt see dumbledore (always thought he was pureblood anyway)
But as HBP was the working title of CoS, I am convinced that it is Tom Riddle.

But isn't Tom Riddle Voldemort? At least thats what I've always thought because for one CoS Tom came back and told Harry that he was Lord Voldemort. And then DD called Voldemort in the Ministry of Magic Tom when they were fighting.

This was a quote from JKRs website,
"He looked rather like an old lion. There were streaks of grey in his mane of tawny hair and his bushy eyebrows; he had keen yellowish eyes behind a pair of wire-rimmed spectacles and a certain rangy, loping grace even though he walked with a slight limp."
Maybe this will help you with your decision in who you think it is.

JKR gave a pretty clear hint on her site that it can't be Tom as he is actually Voldemort.

Who said CoS had nothing to do with Voldemort? All the books have something to do with Voldemort.

JKR has said that she considers Tom Riddle as being Voldemort and therefore he cannot be the HBP

I think you don't realize just how likely that is. Of all the characters, the one needed to die so that the seventh book can have the level of tension needed for a final conflict (and a final conflict always begins with the villian having all the chips) is Dumbledore, seeing as he is the only thing keeping Voldermort from become more dangerous than he was. Dumbledore has to leave Harry alone before he is backed into a corner enough to HAVE to fight Voldermort
