The Malfoys

Who do you like best and who could you definately live without? Will there be romance in the air for any of them and who will end up with who?

The Malfoys

The part when Narcissa was going to check and see if Harry was dead or not, and she asked Voldy if Draco was safe. You really saw where her loyalties lay. She didn't care about Voldy or being a Death Eater anymore. She just cared about her son. As much as I don't like her, that was brave. What if Voldy had someone else check after Narcissa did, and Voldy found out the truth then? He would have killed her. Or if Hagrid found out while carrying Harry and shouted out that Harry was alive.

She didn't ask Volde, she asked Harry if Draco was alive....nobody heard her....she was very quick thinking though to come up with that plan so fast once she realised he was alive.

I did think it was great how Harry saved Draco twice though even after everything that had happened but I suppose he did see Volde making Draco torture someone.

Really? Guess that's what happens when you read the book so fast, you miss stuff. I'm gonna have to read it again.

Volde wouldn't know or care if Draco was alive or where he was, he didn't before when Lucius wanted to go look for him.

Exactly, she didn't care about LV or being a death eater anymore. She only cared about finding her son so she asked harry if he was still alive, and when he told her draco was she said he was dead so she could get into hogwarts through the victory march. She didn't really care about saving Harry either, it was just part of her plan.

It was heart reaching how mush the Malfoys cared for each other. It was very well put together!

Yeah, that in the end their love for each other was worth more than being loyal to Voldemort and that in the very end they would suffer LV's rage just to find each other. Which is what made them earn a little respect from others for once in their lives.

What do you think happened to them after the end of the war? They were still Death Eaters, though they didn't care much for Voldemort anymore and were looking for Draco only. Were they forgiven or punished (even if not severly)?

I wish we knew what happened to them, too. By punished do you mean punished by the new ministry? Or punished by other Death Eaters? Because Voldy obviously couldn't punish them!

I knew Draco was going soft on Voldemort...

But it was nice how the Malfoys finally realised there was more to life than being part of Voldy's gang...and that they really did love each other!

I think the ministry or whoever it was that punished all the death eaters probably went off lightly on the Malfoys. Moreso than the other DE's anyway. Obviously Draco wasn't imprisoned for life like most of the others probably were. I wouldn't be suprised if they were set free by Harry's request or something.

Narcissa didn't care about Voldy or the DE and it was nice to see that she had a bit of love in her. But why did she grip her nails into harry's chest after he had told her that Draco was alive?
"yes" he breathed back.
He felt the hand on his chest contract; her nails pierced him. Then it was withdrawn. She had sat up.[/b]

I don't think she really meant to do that to Harry, it was just a reaction to finding out that Draco was alive.

Yeah, I think it was a combination of love and disenchantment.

I think the Malfoy's always thought they were going to be living high on the hog and that they would have a lot of power etc. b/c of Voldy. But then he trerated them so awfully. After all Narcissa wasn't happy about Draco's decision from day one. That's why she went to Snape in the beginning of book six, because she was desperate to keep her son out of harms way. It's too bad more of the Black family couildn't have been redeemed by the end. Regulus had his name cleared a little, and of course Narcissa started to put her family first and Andromeda helped HP.

Although I have to admit at first I was really suspicious that it was her that let it slip that they were moving Harry in the beginning. I've lost track are the blacks related to the Malfoy's by any more than marriage? All the pure blood lines are confusing! Aren't the Weasley's related to the Tonks?

I agree with the disenchantment part... think of how the Malfoys have been living before Voldemort came along - they were powerful members of society, rich and pretty much did what they like, throwing their weight around. (think of all those times Lucius interfered in the law, like trying to get Buckbeak executed for hurting Malfoy) After Voldemort took over, they seem to be suffering for the most part.

As for the wizarding families, think Ms Rowling said once before, all all inter-related, because there are not many of them, and with all the pure-blood business. After all, even Voldemort and Harry is related in the distant past, through the Peverell brothers. =P
