As far as Quirrell is concerned, we get to know two very different ways of behaving. At first, he seemed like a total freak, wearing a turbin, stuttering etc, but when Harry met him in the end, he was ruthless and calculating. I wonder what the 'real' Quirrell was like...I mean it seems kinda evident that he just played a charade to fool everybody into believing he was a harmless freak, but couldn't it also be that sharing a body with Voldemort changed his character so he became a bad guy? What is his original self like? How did he and Voldie get in contact? Accidently or on purpose? Ideas?

I think Quirrell's real self was a young, naive, smart, do-it-by-the-book man just out of school...probably much like Percy. He probably had this quest for power, to the extreme that he would do anything to get this power. So he probably met up with Voldie in what seemed like an accident, but I have a feeling Voldie can sense people's personas...so Voldie probably sensed this persona of a thirst for power and success and made an offer to Quirrell...who was desperate for power...no matter what the type...
