I dunno if Ron has the balls to jump in front of a Avada Kedavra. . but Ginny does. Maybe we will see something similar to what happened with Harry's mother saving Harry, except Harry will sacrifice his life to save Ginny. This time though, VD wont survive since they will have destroyed the horcruxes.

SO: Harry and VD duel, but Harry loses, but his love for Ginny gives the same effect which happened 17 years ago when VD tried to kill Harry as a baby, and VD dies trying to kill Ginny. Or perhaps switch the names?

Voldemort tried to kill Harry once again...but this time round, Ginny was there to shield Harry and Voldemort dies when the killing curse deflected back due the love protection of Ginny left for Harry. but isn't that a major tear jerker at the end of the series???

Besides, why would Voldemort want to kill Ginny? He is only interested in dealing with Harry...that means the torturing Ginny!

I don't think any Weasley's will be dying. It would ruin any semblance of a happy ending.

I don't think he killed Cedric Diggory for fun. Cedric was not supposed to be transported to the grave in the 1st place. The plan was to revive Voldemort's body and kill Harry without letting anyone know that he was back. So he had to silence off Cedric

Ssuming V dies (I REALLY hope so, or this ain't a kids book) it's going to be by some sort of sacrifice of love a la how Harry was saved last time. Don't know who's death, but I suspect Harry is gonna die, or one of his close friends (also reckon Neville isn't going to make it)

oh i'd LOVE it if neville would kill bellatrix. i just get the feeling that neville has the possibility to be a great wizard, he just needs to believe in himself a little more. i hope ginny doesn't die to save harry... that wouldn't seem right to me. but i do think that there some interesting parallels between lily and ginny. maybe harry needs someone else to love strongly (since all of his parent figures are gone) in order to kill LV? not that his love for hermione and ron isn't strong... oh, i don't know.

If Ginny does die to save Harry I don't think she can protect him by "love" - Lily was only able to because she was Harry's flesh and blood.

I've noticed there are so many Ginny lovers on this forum. I'm still undecided about her but I think that's because I'm influenced by the young on-screen actress who I don't particularly rate yet. But we'll see she might improve as the other screen actors have. However to give all those Ginny lovers a fair go, I'm now reading all of them again to see if my opinion of her can change or at least warm to her a little.

I think Ginny will be in the next book but I'm not sure how much yet. Harry broke up with her to "save" her at DD's funeral etc but I think he was too late when he did this - Draco would have known that they were an item and therefore that she meant something to him. With this information passed to LV, who knows what's going to happen.

Hi everyone. I finished reading HBP and I'm increasingly annoyed/upset about the Harry and Ginny pairing. Anyone with me? Here's why
1. It's too convenient, it seems to me as though JKR was FOLLOWING the desires of fandom, where H/G started
2. Ginny's character is rather annoying. Just I began to like her more and more, she's one of those types that can't survive without a boyfriend (as seen throuhg Michael Corner, Dean etc. etc.)
3. She tries to be so witty and funny and for some odd reason, JKR found it prudent to make her appear so cool, athletic and popular and the kind of girl who doesn't take cr*p from anyone. She acts like she's so special because she's the only Weasley girl...it was almost as if JKR created the girl with no faults for Harry
4. How is it that Harry seems as though he was in love with Ginny for ages by the end of this book? "We could have had ages together..." like where did THAT come from? Last I heard Harry was deeply immersed for Cho Chang (whom I still support, despite all the critcism) and Ginny was the one who had a Crush on him..it was a one way street. So again, that makes no sense
5. THe Lily/James theory is just stupid

and the list goes on. Mainly, I just dislike Ginny. Even more so, everytime I think of her, I think of Bonnie Wright who plays her in the movies. And no offense, but she's really really not good looking at all. In fact, she's supposed to be a year younger than Harry but the actress ends up making Ginny look like she's a newborn in comparison to him. If Ginny was suppose to be pretty, wtf happened to the casting director..another reason why I'm annoyed.

Anyone agree? I know Harry/Ginny fans are on the rise...I was always one for Harry/Cho. I know they aren't going to end up together but I don't see how JKR totally discarded Cho's character and barely mentioned her at all..it's unrealistic. Harry and Cho had at least a thing together, well he def. def. did for her anyway and JKR made no commentary on them post relationship. It seems incomplete.

I'm just glad that we never had to put up with Harry/Luna. She's funny, but i don't know if i could read through 100 pages of there odd connection cuz they've both witnessed death and what not. I was kinda dissappointed with Luna and Neville, almost completely disregarded, after the last book i thought that they'd be in a lot more major roles.
I'm still a major advocate for the continuence of the Harry/Ginny romance, he's practically a weasley already, why not make him part of the family.

I know in OotP when Hermione skips out on going skiing with her folks she says to HP and Ron that her parents weren't too pleased about that. SO I suspect they want to see her but she always has a reason she needs to do things with her friends from school -- and if I do recall, at her age I spent far more time with my friends than with my family.



I think the actress that plays Ginny is cute too. Just wanted to defend the poor little thing from those who say she isn't pretty

I think the Harry/Ginny thing makes perfect sense...
The only stable thing in Harry's life for the past few years has been the weasleys...they are his friends and in a way, they are his family. Harry and Ginny have known each other for so long now that even though they only just began to date this year, what they have runs deeper than it would have if she was any other girl. He's always had a bond with her per se -- the weasleys are like family and he would do anything to help any one of them. They have a particularly special bond to begin with because he's saved her life before -- even though he only thought of her as ron's sister. All the weasleys probably have a place in his heart so it's not like he was dating just anyone. Without knowing it's called "love" you can love someone -- I'm quite certain that HP feels love in his heart for Ron, Hermione, Ginny and mr/mrs weasley. So the moment he started feeling interested in Ginny it's as if the feelings were there forever, even though they obviously weren't. I've thought all along they were a perfect pairing -- I just didn't know how long it would take him to realize it.

i am that age, and i don't spend that much time with my parents, but i also am home more than 8% of the year. Ah Well, makes for better story.

Do you think that harry and ginny were in love, because so far, it was the most in depth romance in the book. They just sorta clicked together. Every other romance ended abruptly so far, two in disaster(Cho, Ron,Lavender, don't know what happened between Krum + Hermione.)
