Voldemort vs. Voldemort?

Who do you like best and who could you definately live without? Will there be romance in the air for any of them and who will end up with who?

We shouldn't forget that Voldemort doesn't care how much of soul he has as long as he can split it. And it's really stupid thing, I mean, it looks like he can make as many horcruxes as he wants. And if it is so he would surely have made another one after he found out about diary...

I dont think so.

I think believing that he can make as many horcruxes as he want is dead wrong; making horcruxes has an effect on him - each one makes him steadily less human.

Sooner or later there just won't be enough of him left.

Hey! Damnit, that's an interesting idea. You might really be onto something! It fits, it just fits. I'm sorry, but from now on I'm going to make that my creed for book 7.

Gotta think about that a little more.... :D

Could be.. But I am not sure of that. Spliting his sole didn't really affect him, only his looks but he's still the same.

I think that he has become weaker. Only the probability of him dieing is just less.

Disagree, disagree, disagree!

Splitting your soul does not just affect your looks.

It would have to affect your soul or else it would just be pointless to have it that way!

Well, I agree on the theory that Voldemort's deformed looks were caused by splitting his soul. DD even hinted at it, saying that his growing inhumanity is showing on his features.

I believe the whole thing works like this: Everyone has an animal/animal qualities inside of them, which animal is determined by the character, not by choice. That's why you can't choose your animagus or patronus form, it's inside you. Now, the more of his soul Voldemort sacrificed, the less human he became, so the animal in him, a snake, took over more and more of his appearance.

I think that you can choose your animagus form.

I agree with everything in there except that you can't choose your animagus form. Patronus yes, animagus no.

Otherwise they would be the same, would they not? Their partonus and animagi forms would be identical - now I believe we are yet to actually see both of one character's animagi and patronus form, but I doubt they would be the same creature.

eg: I don't think Harry's animagi would be a stag.

You cannot choose your animagus form, and we're not going to see any. It's pretty old information, actually, from JKR's website. So, that's canon. I'm not trying to pass something off as fact if I know better...

In POA, it says that sirius and James chose large creatures so that they could be equal with Remus. And Peter chose a rat because he wasn't as strong as the other two, and could easily escape if anything really dangerous were to happen in the Shrieking Shack. Something dangerous was always bound to happen there. And they also needed someone small enough to prod the knot so that they wouldn't need to find a stick.
