Luna Lovegood...

Who do you like best and who could you definately live without? Will there be romance in the air for any of them and who will end up with who?

Ack, i hope Luna and Harry don't get together! Luna bugs me even worse than Cho, I'm kinda more like Hermione who feels impatient with Luna's spaciness. :x I don't want her in the other books, but Im sure she will be, she seems really important. I think she will good with helping Harry get over Sirius' death, because she lost her mother... but I didn't get that her mother was a ghost. :???: What i understood her to mean was that everyone will see their loved ones again someday, they aren't really gone, they're just somewhere else. (i.e. Veil) It's all like DD said about "death being the next great adventure".

I don't want Harry and Luna to be put together either. She's just to weird even for him. Besides, even if she can help him get over Sirus's death what ever her purpose is, it seems more likely that she will be with Ron or Neville.

To me Luna is just weird and not at all in a good or appealing way. But then again I feel sorry for her since she is being made fun of a lot.

Luna represents something important - just because you can't see something, it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Like the thesterals. All but her and Harry dismissed them, but they were right.

And in the end, Luna told Harry that whatever disappeared would come up again in the end. Harry should probably agree - when he needed his parents the most, they came out of Voldemort's wand to protect him. When he needed help against Tom Riddle, Jr., Fawkes came to his aid. Plus the fact that his patronus is unusual (according to Dumbledore) shows his father comes to his aid when he needs it the most.

What Harry needs the most will come up in the end, and probably due to his true personality. Luna knows it instictively. Harry will learn the hard way.

I don't know about a H/L relationship, but she has more in store for us. JKR wouldn't inrtoduce a new character like this and have her play a role smaller than parvati or lavender. all she did was act strangely, come to the DoM(suspitiously coming out unhust) and connnect Harry to the Quibbler, which could have theoretically been done w/o her. The scene w/ her and harry at the end of bk5 is important, the one about lost things coming back.

yeah, that scene at the end of OotP about the lost things coming back was very ineteresting, hey...

I can't even think of what it might mean in the future, but I know that it's got to have meaning! it's just too... hrmm, out there(?) not to!!! hehehe!

Indeed, a strange thing to be said (OK, the name Luna tells everything). But has ever JKR written something just to write??? NO, she writes everything thinking in the forecoming books (I remeber in the first book Harry having the feeling Snape was reading his mind, and in the first chapter, Sirius is mentioned...). Luna knows something and she'll have a big role in the next books.

I love Luna as a character, I think she's great and differnet!! But I think that Harry doesn't take her siriusly, that he's even ashamed when he's around her. I think she acted as she was interested in Ron and Harry, but maybe it's just the way she's treating everyone. I think she'll have a bigger role in 6th and 7th book.

Luna is a mystery. I think she's shown us just a little piece of herself. We'll learn more about her and she 's going to play a biiig part in book6 (at least)

And I don't have a problem seeing Harry and Luna together in the future but it'll be just too weird. Maybe in the future something will show us that something's up between Harry and Luna. (I hate Cho since I've read the OotP)

I don't hate Cho and I don't know why everybody does. How would you feel in her position??? Your boyfriend dies and...

I would actualy like Harry to be with Luna but I don't think he's interested. I don't think he'll date any girl in 6th book. And if he does, I hope it's Cho or some new girl.

I also understand Cho's position!! And I think Harry/Cho will become something real in the future... But now, I think Harry is a little mad at her (he doesn't undertand, poor little guy), and it would be great to see how a relation between Harry and Luna is... oh! it's so strange just imagining it!!

HI everyone!
I'm new here as you can see, pleasure to write on such a forum!I have been visiting only one by now, so that's something new!Still, I don't wanna be off-topicer, so I'll tell you what I think - Luna's wicked!(in a very positive way), I love that girl. At least she is not so girlish like Cho(I mean, God, Cho acts so spontaneous, that's why Harry's confused, no one should blame him, boys are slower in maturing than girls :) ). She is calm and composed. Weird, that's true, but for me it's the best part of her personality that we know by now.

Yours sincerely

Seraphine, I totally agree :D Luna's weirdness makes me love her! And her pride - she always stands up for her odd style, if you want. I like her style - apart from lion chewing a serpent :x
Luna is really a role model for self-confidence and staying down to earth at the same time. Lockhart, for example, is inflated ego but Luna just knows her abilities, her limits. Not, that she acknowledges any limits :evil grin:
