I didn't see this on the list of topics so I believe this is brand new!!

I was thinking about what DD said to Harry in his office about why he wasn't a Prefect like Hermy and Ron. But what about coming up? Do you think DD will let Harry become a Prefect and then in the 7th book a Head Boy?

Prefects are appointed in their 5th year, not 6th or 7th...He may be head boy, but I doubt it.

I think that the Head Boy would probably be Ernie McMillion, and then Hermione, obvious head girl. Ernie seems like he'd be a perfect fit, though i never liked him.

maybe dumbledore will change his mind and appoint harry as head boy...in the 5th book dd said that he knew harry had 2 much to worry about and to much 2 handle but maybe he will be head boy...we'll have to wait and see

Or maybe Harry will not be prefect (well he isn't) then be like his father and become Head Boy in 7th year... :grin:

James wasn't a prefect but was head boy....

I hope and think that Harry will not become Head Boy. Honestly, he'd suck. He's way too absurbed with himself to do a good joy as a Head Boy. And, as I'm sure that Hermione will be Head Girl, it would be unfair to choose two Gryffindors. Actually, I have no idea how James could ever become a Head Boy unless he changed 180° between fifth and seventh year. Then again, Dumbledore is full of the typical Gryffindor arrogance, so you'll never know. I hated his reason why he chose Ron, not Harry. Why on earth should Harry be a better choice? Ron might not be as powerful, but that's not the quality that makes a Head Boy. He's brave, loyal, decent and not as self-centered as Harry. Sure Harry's every reason to act like he does, and I certainly don't blame him, but Head Boy? No, please!

I dont think Harry will be made Head Boy - Dumbledore isnt Head anymore and he has way too much to be coping with. I agree with Nikki it would be so great if Nevill became Head Boy, I know he doesnt seem to have the skills to cope with it but i think after the last 2 books (5 & 6) he has learnt so much more! And i agree Hermione will probably be Head Girl but i dont really want her to because it would be so predictable!

I dont think Harry will be head boy because he's not the best example of a head boy. I think neville or Ron may be head boy.

Well, Harry made it quite clear that he wasn't going to go back to Hogwarts next year and search for Horcruxes instead. Personally, I think that the Head Boy of Hogwarts should actually attend Hogwarts.
