Does DD really know everything?

Not everybody...many people think Voldie can beat him...but yeah, most do...and I still think that fact can be a serious danger.
Don't know why...but I BET DD's behaviour will lead to a mistake one day...

Aw, I'd really hate to see him die. But it does seem logical, the whole 'mentor dying to save the hero' thing. If it does in fact happen, then I can't see it occurring until Book 7.

sometimes he does seem like he knowz what is really going on, but sometimes he seems very oblivious....i mean, really, harry's life was in danger a couple of times....

DD seems like a gaurdian kinda like you depend on him to know everything. It seems like he knows what he is doing, even if he doesn't everyone trusts him, he is someone you can depend on.

Dumbledore is aware of a great deal of what goes on in Hogwarts. However, he didn't realize that there were three unregistered animagi running around Hogwarts with a werewolf.

However, he's known all along Harry has a destiny, and has paid very close attention to him. He condones minor rule breaking (such as the invisibility cloak) and ultimately serves to help Harry face the tasks that overwhelm him, while in the background. While Harry's safety is important, it's equally as important to train Harry for what he must eventually face. Harry may not be the brightest student at Hogwarts, but he's certainly the one best prepared to face what is out there.
