Narcissa Malfoy

We don't seem to have a topic designated for Narcissa. I have just one thing I wanted to mention about her yet I didn't know if it fit elsewhere.

US Edition, Chapter 2 page 21:
"There is nothing I wouldn't do anymore!" Narcissa breathed, a note of hysteria in her voice, and as she brought down the wand like a knife, there was another flash of light. Bella let go of her sister's arm as though burned.
"Narcissa!"
But Narcissa rushed ahead. Rubbing her hand, her pursuer followed again.....

What did Narcissa do with the wand? Was it the curse that burned Bellatrix's hand or was it that she was touching Narcissa's arm?

I think Narcissa used a curse against Bellatrix. Probably the same curse or a similiar one to what Harry used against the grindylows in the lake during the fourth book. It makes the most sense with the wand slashing, because why would touching her sister cause Bellatrix to pull away like that?

Speaking of Narcissa, Malfoy mentioned over and over that if he didn't do as he was ordered he and his mother would be killed. Do you think Voldy will kill them even though Dumbledore is dead? I mean, Draco flaked and didn't complete the task, was very sloppy and allowed the enemy to know what was happening, and he got a Death Eater in his battle. Add into this the fact that Voldy is incredibly angry(what an understatement) with Lucius and wants to punish him.

Personally, and I may be sick for thinking this, but I really want to see Narcissa killed infront of Draco. I'd like to see Draco killed too, but considering that he's been a major character in the first 6 books, I doubt he's going to be executed as a punishment for his father.

Personally I'd like to know why Narcissa wasn't a DE. How did she manage to escape that one?

I'd like to know why Draco thought only he and his mother would be killed. I though Voldemort had it in for Lucius too...

Isn't Lucius in prison? If so, he'd be out of reach, even if at the moment only, and therefore unable to be killed right now by Voldemort. That would be why he couldn't be killed just yet, and Draco had to do the deed for LV.
