here's a thread to discuss the prequel to The Next Generation, Marcellus.

Valencia and Galena must be quite young teachers in The Next Generation, if they're both in third year here.

Hmm, I hadn't realized before, but Galena is actually quite a bit older than Valencia. Galena is Percy's age, they were in the same year at Hogwarts. Which means Galena wouldn't even be at Hogwarts during the time that this is set. In fact, Galena and Valencia probably wouldn't even know each other very well during this rpg. I guess I'll have to think about whether I want to have Galena as my character or come up with a new one...

haha... this reminds me of the time i accidently made my character's wand 11feet long...



well... atleast i'm not the only one making mistakes...... it seems riley's character is 25 years old and best friends with a third year.......

This scenario took place in Mar 1995. Sep 1994 to July 1995... was Harry's 4th yr right?
the triwizard tournament events...where the students from the 3 wizardry schools came together since Sep 1994 and have stayed at least 6 months at Hogwarts

hmmm Nikolaus from the Next Generation RPG was born in 1983, that made him (1st year student over at Durmstrang)

I don't if I should make Nikolaus appear over here (wanted to keep the mystery shroudded in the Next Generation and the fact that why is a 1st year student tagging along with the seniors to Hogwarts for the triwizard tournament)

4th was September 1994 to June 1995. School years encompass multiple calendar years. 5th year would have been September 1995 to June 1996. So, this rpg takes place in Harry's 4th year.

But it could go further on, into the fifth. Voldemort has yet to rise though, which is the important point to note.

yeah, i was thinking marcellus wanted to use the book to bring back voldy, but wormtail found voldy before he did and voldy liked wormtails idea better.....

Just confirming.... Valencia is 13 yrs old in this RPG (Born in 1981) she's visiting her Grandfather (Marcelus) during... summer holidays? And does that make her in her 3rd year?

I'm just trying to work out when Voldy conceived Geneve's mum. Hmm...... Geneve's mum, incidently, is born with no magic, just like her muggle mum. But Voldy knows that the second daughter, Geneve, will be born with magic and it will be her that carries on his legacy. (or so he hoped when the time was right, because he really didn't expect to die)

I've just done the sums.
Geneve was born Sept 2005.
Her mother was born 1980. (The very same year as Harry Potter....)
Tom Riddle was born in 1927, which made him 53 when he slayed Harry's parents, and when he concieved his only daughter with a muggle girl...

So he was 67 (in human years) when he was resurrected in the Goblet of Fire!

is that right?

Was Marcellus a Death Eater?
Was he friends with Lucius Malfoy?
Does he know about Geneveve, Geneve' s mum?


I would love to play Marcelus, I just want to be sure i get the facts right.
