I'm creating my character now.
He's 17 but untrained because his parents are English lord and lady and couldn't bear it... and he doesn't know he has any magical blood until the revolution tries to recruit him.
He's always known he was gifts, though. And they've come out even more well developed than straight-foward magic.
Just think superhero - but he can't use a wand like a normal wizard, he's just too old to learn.

Haha! I always laugh when I read the bit it in book about Sirius mimicking his mother blasting him out of the family tree. Bang!
Two of them have! The third, smaller one, got covered up by the Ministry of the time - who were of course overthrown the same year, but not by any of the people starring here.

Yeah I know, here's what happened... I wanted to find a name for the portrait, so I just decided to chuck the name of your character on it... but I figured that surely in those times your character would have gotten married by the time she got elderly.
So instead of thinking of a new name I just picked my char's last name.
Turns out it could be the beginnings of a fantastic storyline.

Certainly seems that way, the actual revolution itself is fairly short... one group Vs the other inside the Ministry buildings, winner takes all.
