Yes.. perhaps if we can attract attention to it and keep it active we can get some more members.

I think there's enough to have a decent thread about there.

THIS IS THE DISCUSSION ROOM FOR THE RULES:

The Rules are Established:

Scenario Rule: Any member on the Hogwarts '06/07 RPG in a playing house can post for their team as a player that isn't 'owned' already.

Game Rules:
One turn = One post.
The quidditch pitch is divided up into 3 zones.
Flying
: A player can fly directly with the quaffle into an adjacent zone. This takes one turn.
Passing: The player with the quaffle can pass to a chaser in their own zone or an adjacent one. This takes one turn.
Beating: The beater can hit the chaser with the quaffle if in the last two turns that team has chosen the above option to fly directly into an adjacent zone. This swaps position. This takes one turn.
Intercepting: An opposing chaser can intercept the quaffle after the team has passed the quaffle two turns in a row. This takes one turn.
Shooting: Once in the scoring zone (zone #3) the chaser with the quaffle can choose to shoot it. He/she PMs myself (Phoenix in the Ashes) with the direction of the shot (left, right or middle). This takes one turn.
Keeping: The keeper must the post next, with the direction of the save (left, right or middle). This can be in the post. This takes one turn.
Scoring: I, as the ref, will then post the score - if the keeper has chosen the correct direction of the shot, it is saved. If not, it is a goal, and the shooting team is awarded ten points. This takes one turn.
Seeking: At any stage during the game, I shall announce that the snitch has appeared in one of the three zones. Every turn from then on, the snitch will move on to another zone. The seekers must move each and every turn from this point on - but can only move one zone at a time. If the seeker and the snitch are together in a zone after both have moved, and the opposition seeker is not in that square, the snitch is caught, and the seeker's team is awarded 150 points, and the match ended.
Winning and Losing: The team with the most points at the end of the match wins.

Positioning: The keeper must stay in their end zone. The two beaters must be in two different zones. The three chasers can be in any of the three zones (eg. 2 in zone 1, 1 in zone 3, 3 in the same zone, or spread out one in each). The seeker can be in any of the three zones.

Moving players without possession: A participant can move any two players without possession (including beaters, the seeker and any chasers that don't have the quaffle)one zone each, or one of the players two zones.

These are the rules to Quidditch for the RPG Scenario Hogwarts '06/07.

Any questions can be asked here!

The rules are fine, we just need enough people for two teams.

That won't be happening - to look reality in the face.

What I had in mind is that anyone with a character in the scenario could be in the game by picking a side. You can't control another specific character, but you can control one of the ones that aren't controlled by a human.

Yeah good idea.

So, if we're in the Gryffindor team, which we all are...can we control a character from another team???

If you're in the Gryffindor team you can control any Gryffindor player as long as it's not a member's character. If Gryffindor are not playing, you can control a player from one of the other competing houses.

If you're character is in Gryffindor, but is not in the Gryffindor team, you must only play as a player on the Gryffindor team IF THEY ARE PLAYING; if they arent not playing, you can pick the house you can compete as.

Gryffindor in these examples counts for any of the houses, by the way.

If your character is not in Gryffindor, then you can still play for Gryffindor as long as you are not the other side (eg. Slytherin for the upcoming game) and play as a player as long as it's not a member's character.

So - the major rule:

If your house is competing, you can only play for them that match. If they are not competing that match, you can play for either team.

You cannot control another's character.

A short example: I can play as a member of the Slytherin team for the upcoming match, as Dinas is a memebr of Slytherin house, even though he is not on the team. I cannot play for Gryffindor, because my character is of Slytherin.
However, in the next match between Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw, I can choose a team before the match to play for, and play as though I am one of them for the match.

Ooooh, I get it.
So Misty (Scarlet Lioness), Arven (choki) and Rowena (Q.Araignee)
(those on the Gryffindor quidditch team) are only allowed to play Gryffindor as any quidditch member except that 3 characters could only be controlled by the owner.

Dinas (PITA) will be representing all Slytherin players since there is none at the moment.

I'm fine with that! Just that PITA will be busy hahahaha

Precisely!

It's a miracle - I don't think I could've understood what I wrote up there! :D - it looks confusing but it's really quite simple. Same with the game.

Yeah, I will be busy but hey.. should be fun..

I've come to the conclusion that their won't be changing turns - as in first turn Gryffindor next turn Slytherin

But: A player has to wait two hours after their last move OR for someone else to move, before they can have another turn.

eg: If I'm alone in Slytherin, I'll have to wait two hours after my last move to move again. But if at the one hour thirty mark Scarlet Lioness posts, I can then post again straight away.
