i was thinking that valencia would get an owl from her grandpartents saying she was to come home early and study magic with marcellus (so marcellus could groom her into the person he wanted her to be)
i think marcellus was a death eater but plans on being more when he brings voldy back.
not sure about lucius friendship......
i think marcellus knew about geneve's mum but not that she couldn't do magic.

oh dear, we'll need to think up a way for marcellus to die at the end and become a ghost for the next generation........ maybe he put a spell on himself to keep himself alive as long as the book was intact and when valencia burned it he died?

Yes, it seems that before we begin this role play, we really need to have all these things in order. I think that's a good idea, that Marcellus connects himself mortally to the book, and just when things look grim, VAlencia realises she can get rid of him by burning the book. Excellent!

why valencia and not one of her relatives? she's the only one with any good in her left (is she an orphan? we'll have to decide that) and a grain of good is essencial for the plan?

I agree.... Valencia's family should be just like the Black's - maybe her parents pulled away from the traditional 'evil' and were killed for it? And her new guardian is Marcellus? Of course, her parent's death seemed like an accident.....

yes, that sounds good....... marcellus had originally wanted to use valencia's parents but they got a little too good........ and valencia's grandmother is good but covers it up and helps valencia with the destroying of the book?

Sounds good! I've been reading Goblet of Fire, and I was reminded of how Barty Crouch's mother sacrificed herself to get her son out of Azkaban. It was so sad, she was dying from grief! Also I liken this to Malfoy's mother, who pretended to be evil and devoted ,but trully wanted nothing more than to protect her son! So ya, Valencia's grandmother should definately be good and bestow on Valencia the task of protecting the book's secret......

As to the origins of the book..... have you ever watched The Mummy? where they found that Egyptian book of the dead? It could be something like that.... found during an excavation, stolen or passed down or bought by Valencia's familiy..... It is indestructable except when Valencia discovers it's one weakness and burns it...

I've never seen it, but I know all about the book of the dead so i get what your saying. maybe we could make a prologue explaining how the book was found? and we should think of a name for the book.......

valencia is taken out of howarts in harry's 4th year (voldy has not risen) to be taught personally by marcellus
marcellus plans to groom her into the witch he needs for his plans for voldy
valencia's parents were killed "on accident" because they got to good
grandmother is hiding her goodness and secretly shaowing valencia the only way to destroy the book
marcellus has joined his soul with the book and will die if it is burned but will have a form of immortality while it is safe
marcellus's heart's desire is to be voldy's right hand man and plans to use the book and valencia as means to do it
voldy chose the blood, bone, flesh, big 'ol cauldron idea instead of marcellus's book but marcellus is still carrying out his plans incase something goes wrong
marcellus knew about geneve's mummy but not about her lack of magic

yes, that sounds about right. So this story will occur outside of Hogwarts, however, I think it would be good if Valencia and Marcellus attend the triwizard tournament and that Valencia goes to Hogsmeade from time to time too ( to allow for some of our characters to interact with her.)

Marcellus needs to keep track of the triwizard cup to make sure that Voldy's plan becomes a reality, and if it doesn't, well, that will be a perfect time for Valencia and her grandmother to step up and stop him.

Shall we start at Hogwart's though? And Valencia finds out that her parents had died while she's there? and then she's taken out, and all her friends are suspicious, keep in touch and eventually try to get her out of there?

Yes, I reckon it will be good to get Valencia to meet with someone once a week to be trained in Marcellus' way. Perfect. Then we can still 'play' at Hogwarts!
