So the question is, they went back to this time for a reason, most likely because of the situation with Linda's family. Now, what is Linda going to do about it?

I suggest that at this stage she'd really just be wanting to find out what happened, so that would involve following the mother and daughter back home. But at some stage I imagine that she'd do something stupid, which will give us a plot for a while.

basically my character travelled through time with an ancient magic in order to change something from the past. (that's 1400s)

no matter how many times he had tried redoing the past, he didn't manage to alter the past.

Ultimately, through the constant use of such forbidden magic, the time magic went wrong and he was lost in time, travelling many different ages of time and eventually ending up in the present 1996.

It's interesting, we still don't know what anyone's motivations are yet. All that we can safely say is that the death eaters and the unspeakables will both want the time-turner, and won't care too much if the muggles get in the way.

I don't know if the friends will be able to trust anyboy, remembering that both the ministry and the death eaters will be coming after them, for this is the last remaining time-turner in 1996.

The point is, I don't think that the muggles will be able to distinguish between their two "enemies" for a while.

Hmmm Juvenis might not be taking any side for the moment.
He was already long forgotten, ever since he went back and fro through time. Neither the Ministry nor the Death eaters knew his existance.

But one thing for sure, the number one agenda for him was always to go back to the 1400s.

Maybe this guy here knows a couple of ancient magic that was long forgotten in the present, that might help him a little from the Ministry, DEs.
