I've been thinking that it should be set in the time just after the founders have died, sort of picking up where their story left off. The Hogwarts management is in disarray, their old leaders have gone, how can they possibly pick up the mantle of the founders? etc...

Basically, the plot is the journey of how the system of Hogwarts changed from 4 Founders running the school completely, to what we know as the modern system - 1 Headmaster, followed by a sizeable number of professors teaching a range of magical subjects. Opinions?

Had to reject Riley's idea for a scenario, although the premise is quite good. In brief, it was titled Hogwarts: A History. Basically, the idea was that it was set in the age of the founders, which could definitely work for a good RPG if some good storylines were found.

Unfortunately there were some minor details (such as Riley stating that he or she would accept/decline the characters, and that the first 4 members of the scenario would be the four Founders of Hogwarts) that violate RPG rules, and so it had to be declined.

I made it very clear that it was your idea, I apologise if you think that I was stealing your concept, I had no intention of it at all.

Of course I will, but gosh no please don't do that! That'd be a real shame, it sounds like it'd be an amazing fan-fic! Please carry on, you can't let this incident stop you from writing something, especially as you have done nothing wrong.

I simply assumed that because you requested that scenario to be an RPG, you would have liked to see it become one. That's why I created this thread - to see if your idea could be built upon to create an excellent RPG.

Obviously if you don't wish your idea to be an RPG, we can respect that and discontinue it. Certainly don't rip up your fan-fic, it's a fantastic idea and you shouldn't abandon it!

That's very disappointing to hear.

Anyway, stealing your idea would be stating that I created the concept, which I have never done. If anything, I went out of my way on a couple of occasions to give you credit for it, quotations above.

This is a very sad situation, and I am very sorry to hear that it ended in such a way, and for any offence caused.

To be honest, the first things I read was that is was Riley's idea.

So I assumed it was all your idea and it had been a request for one. Sounded like a great RPG to me.

That's okay, there are a few threads where we can post our ideas on scenarios, the best one right now would probably be the "New Scenario Brainstorm" in the DH-RPG Discussions Section. Also, there's the New Ideas for Scenarios thread right here in this forum. I'm going to lock this particular thread now.
