Yes, I think you'd be perfect for it, Nobby. Don't think you'd be depriving someone of the place, as there can be two Moderators per House in the debate area, so another Member still has chance of the second place. :-) Just say and the place is yours. :)

At the moment, one of the houses that isn't debating needs to set up a poll in their common room on the trial debate :-) (for or against the anti-smoking law), then once both of the non-debating houses have had chance for voting (maybe a week after the vote starts) the vote results need to be collected and announced by the Debate Moderators for the non-debating houses.

I think both Gryffindor and Ravenclaw (the debating houses) will probably be just about ready to go once the results of the starting polls have been announced. :)

Yay, thanks Nobby! You're doing great as Hufflepuff Prefect, plus Moderator of the RPG section, and the Movies and I'm very happy to make you Moderator here in the Great Hall Organised Debates forum. And that also means we're now back on track here in the Debates forum, with a Moderator for every House!

Although, this debates thread is for non-hp-related topics!

HP debates are part of the theories section! Watch out for Athena Appleton though, she rocks!

I will be more free to do the debate after I finish my 2nd last paper (tomorrow) this term so hopefully, we can start the debate by then. (having the final paper next week though)
