you'd prolly have to take it up with Paul, Krum. i've noticed myself that there's 4 mods, by no slytherin mods. i don't think so anyway. if i'm not mistaken, i think that theres 2 ravenclaws *audible gasp*

What is the responsibility required of a mod in a particular section?

I am a Gryffindor and I am on the forum every day; so I would be willing to be a mod if one is required,
but I would still want to know what I'm getting myself into by doing that.

Within the area you moderate you have the power to; edit all posts in a section (to remove offensive words for example), delete posts, split topics (if a topic gets off-topic you can remove the non-topic posts into a seperate topic for which they are on-topic in :D makes sense? . You would also be able to access an extra area..the moderator area!!

I think that's about it...oh! And you can ban people immediatly from areas you moderate and move posts elsewhere if you feel they belong elsewhere.

OK that sounds simple enough. :D
I would be willing to be a Gryffindor Moderator for the debate area if no one else wants the job.

With Alice I and Krum, that makes at least one Moderator per House now! It's been decided to allow up to 2 Moderators per House here in The Great Hall Organised Debates section, but one per house is absolutely great to get things started! Yay for the Moderators!

Hufflepuff Debate Moderator Wanted

Postby Paul » Saturday 10 April 2004 7:38:16pm

We've sadly lost our very superb Hufflepuff Debate Moderator due to other commitments so if anyone from Hufflepuff is interested in becoming a Hufflepuff Moderator of The Great Hall Organised Debates, please say (there can be up to 2 Moderators per House here in the debate area). It would be a huge help to the board, and very appreciated to enable the debates to get off the ground. :)
