Avatar: The Last Airbender-Alternate Ending.

Postby salemboy » Saturday 13 September 2008 11:29:31am

I'm going to rewrite the ending to Avatar: The Last Airbender, starting with the very last episode. It will most likely be darker than the series, but will be devoid of swearing, s*x, and drugs. It will probably just be a lot more violent. So here goes.

Prologue: The pain. The intense pain. He wanted to scream, to just let out all of the pain. But he couldn't. He just lied there on the floor, feeling the lightning coursing through his body, destroying the tissues, and tearing at his heart. His heart. It had already been broken. There was no point in keeping it any longer. He no longer had May, he no longer had his father, and he no longer had his honor.

And yet, only seconds ago, he had thought otherwise. He had had May, his father had been his Uncle, and his honor had been in helping the Avatar. But it didn't matter anymore. They were probably all dead, and his honor with them. He himself had failed to defeat his only sister, Azula, the only one that had been stopping him from achieving peace within the Fire Nation. He had thought he could defeat her. He had been wrong.

And so, the very last thing that he did was cry. A tear ran down his scarred face, he could feel it drop off onto the ground. Or was it his blood? He did not know. Then, he finally managed it. He screamed. He screamed with the pain of a thousand men. He screamed, and screamed, his earsplitting shriek filling the air. And then he knew no more.

The intense heat. It seared at his tattered clothes, seared at his skin, seared at his sanity. He tried to hold on, but he felt himself slipping, farther and farther away from life. He knew that death was imminent. But he could not give in. He needed to defeat Firelord Ozai. He tried to bend out the heat, but the rock around him would not allow any of it to escape. He couldn't take it any longer. He curled up, submitting to the pain, to the searing hot pain.

But only as he did so, he felt energy begin to surge through his body, the heat being dispelled. He knew even as he gave into the power that his arrows on his body were glowing. The power, the immense, raw power, overwhelmed his soul and replaced it with hundreds of past soulds, all extremely powerful. They controlled his body. And before he knew it, he was watching himself defeating the Firelord, watch as the once great destroyer of nations fleed before the might of hundreds of former Avatars.

"Firelord Ozai," he said, although it was not him saying it, but all of his past lives. "For years, you and your followers have terrorized the people of this world, and for that, you shall pay. You shall pay the ultimate price." He watched as the firelord struggled to back away. No, they were going to kill him. He couldn't. He couldn't. It was his body, they could not control it. He would not let them. He yelled in his mind, "NO!!!"

Their presence left, and he came back to control of his body. He looked down upon the pitiful sight that was called Firelord Ozai. He turned away. He could no longer harm him. He looked up, Sozin's comet was almost gone. And then the danger would be gone for another five years. "You fool!" he heard from behind. No, he thought, You are the fool. "All of the power in the world, and you are still weak," Ozai yells.

He knew what was coming next. Just as Ozai's fingers went out to use the lightning, he bended down, pulling the rock up from behind him, locking Ozai's arm in place. He circles around Ozai, and does the same thing to his other arm. Then he locks Ozai's legs in place, and puts his thumb to Ozai's chin, and his index finger to his forehead. Feels the power beginning to intercourse in between them. It was time to end this.

He put a dam in between their two chakras and began pushing it into Ozai's chakra flow. He began to feel Ozai's chakra flow stop. He continued pushing it in. Then he felt it. Resistance. Suddenly, the dam was pushing the other way. He began to feel his chakra flows weaken. He pushed back with all of his might, but could not hold it back. He had only one last chance. He pushed with his final effort. It was not enough. His chakra dam had turned against him.

And he knew no more.

Ozai's eyes rolled, and his soul left his body. And then the Avatar's body rose up from it's collapsed state. But the arrow on his head was glowing red, and his eyes were glowing red. "I am no longer Avatar Aang!!!" He spoke, but it was no longer the Avatar's voice, nor was it his previous lives' voices. "I AM PHEONIX KING OZAI!!!"

[And that's the end of the prologue. Like it?]

Hmm, well, I guess you know the endings, then, if you go with the opposite of what I wrote. I'll wait a few more days before I continue writing it. But I hope that I will find a way to make this a very good fanfic, hopefully having a "happy" ending, meaning Ozai gets defeated, but who knows. It all depends on how I feel that day.
