Gundam: Fanfic

Postby salemboy » Monday 26 May 2008 1:28:20pm

I really, really like Gundam. I think that it's almost as awesome as HP, if that's possible. Since where I live, sadly, the only Gundam there is is in a language I can't read, I'll just write a fanfic about Gundam. Here goes.

Prologue

It is the year 2347. Already, there are massive amounts of space colonies orbiting the earth, some the size of the moon. Nearly every mammal, bird, reptile, and amphibian have ween wiped out, the remaining animals being dogs and cats, or having to be on specialized colonies designed especially for them. Fish have gone outright extinct. The massive space colonies, along with the gigantic population living on them has caused random shifts in Earth's tides, and have changed the course of the moons revolutions. As more colonies have been going up, the crowded conditions have caused several colonies to collide, resulting in millions of deaths and trillions of dollars lost.

With the surmounting cost to maintain these colonies, all world powers, Japan, India, America, United Kingdom, North Korea, South Korea, China, Venezuela, Russia, Canada, Israel, and Mexico, decided to combine all of their nations to create The United Nation of Earth, which the anagram is T.U.N.E. [kinda corny, ain't it]. T.U.N.E. continued funding the the colonies for many years, but when the effects of the colonies were felt, both economically, and with the way the colonies were affecting Earth (e.g. Tides, crashes, strange moon changes) they decided to shut down ALL colony projects. This was not so easy to do, as billions of people lived on those colonies, along with the few species of animals left in existence.

Enraged at the decision of T.U.N.E., almost every colony banded together to form the Let Us Kill The United Nation of Earth Society. The anagram for that is L.U.K.T.U.N.E.S. The name is kind of self-explanatory; they wanted to kill T.U.N.E. Eventually, though, they changed their name to Colony Freedom Fighters, which the anagram for that is C.F.F. Eventually, after attempted negotiations, T.U.N.E. threatened to take down the colonies by force. C.F.F. beat them to the punch, though. They launched an attack on T.U.N.E.'s Capital, Oppon.

The attack failed miserably, as T.U.N.E. had strange weapons of destruction that annihalated C.F.F.'s forces. Apparently, their scientists had been constructing the weapons with the threat of war looming. T.U.N.E. easily knocked C.F.F.'s forces back into space, conquering, destroying, and commandeering different colonies. This story is one of a young man on a colony that has not yet been defeated. In his adventure, he will discover the true meaning of pain, horror, death, betrrayal, but also of happiness, gratitude, and justice. Intrigued? Good. Continue reading.

[Kinda catchy, I think. If not, just stick around. I'm not one who likes a slow beginning, so this story should be very action-packed.]

Chapter 1

Ryu [the name's kinda cliche, but I like it] heard the door to his room open, but he pretended he was asleep. It was saturday. There wasn't school, or work, on saturday. Still, he was being shaken awake. "Uhhhhhhhh," he moaned as he opened his eyes to the peircing daylight. He shut them again from pain, then opened them slowly. It was Tonva, his 'friend.'

"Will you wake up, you lazy waste of skin?" she yelled in his ear as she shook him.

"What are you waking me up for?" he whined.

"First," she yelled. "You have to go to the grocery store and pick up some food. Second, you've gotta clean up after that dog that you just had to have, because he took a nice good ol' dump in my room."

Ryu sat up and looked around his room. It was the same way he had left it last night, soda all over the floor, junk food littering chairs and his bed, and his tv was still on from where he and his friends had paused the video game. Then his headached came up. "Uhhhhhhhhhhhh," he moaned again. Tonva had left him to do as told. He swung his feet over the side of his bed and walked to his bathroom. He opened his medicine cabinet and popped a pill in his mouth. As soon as he swallowed, his headache vanished. Then he showered and changed.

When Ryu got to Tonva's room, he was disgusted. His dog must have eaten some junk food and had diarea [I'm unsure of how to spell that]. Anyways, feces had made a giant puddle right in the middle of the room. He closed the door, planning to do it later. For now, he'd head to the grocery store. As he went out his front door, he saw one of his friends asleep on his front lawn. There was no point in trying to wake him, he would probably just fall right back to sleep.

Ryu started walking down the street, whistling a tune. As he walked, he saw soldiers all running around the area, and every once in a while a tank would pass by. It had been that way since the war began, and Ryu had become used to it. He looked up. Military ships were entering and leaving the diamond dome that protected them from the vacuum of space.

After fifteen minutes of walking, Ryu was finally at the grocery store. It was actually a large building where all political and business matters were settled, with a grocery store on the top floor. Ryu had wondered why it was on the top, but didn't really care, so he didn't ask. He walked in to the sound of bustling people in the lobby, all trying to get to the place that they need to. Ryu got in a line for the elevator. Some people were talking behind him about the war. He zoned them out, he not being a huge fan of the war. How come this war got started? Because politicians didn't want to pay money, so they'd rather sacrifice the lives of billions. Colony politicians were no different. They were the ones who sent soldiers to attack T.U.N.E., knowing it would cost just as many lives.

It was his turn to get on the elevator. He got in and zoomed up 25 stories in a split second. It took a special machine to cancel out the g-force that was normally found only in places where politicians work. Otherwise, they'd have to take 25 sets of stairs. At least politicians were good for something.

He got out of the elevator and it zoomed back down. The grocery store was as crowded as ever, with lines long enough to make the patient dismayed. Ryu sighed and started searching the aisles for food. Hopefully, the lines would shorten a bit by the time he finished shopping. They didn't. Ryu came back to the lines to find them even longer. What was with people these days? Couldn't they make more than one grocery store per 100 miles?

He waited in line. And waited. And waited. And waited. Then he heard something he thought he recognised. Then it turned into a blast throughout the entire building. "Code RED!! Code RED!! Evacuate the building in an orderly manner. Under attack! Evacuate the building in an orderly manner." Forget orderly! Ryu dropped all the food he was holding and dashed for the elevators. Then he felt the floor collapse out from under him and he fell down to the next floor onto some businessmen's desk. Under the crushing weight of all the people trampling and falling onto him, he saw what looked like a giant robot looming above the building. Then something hit him in the head and he lost consciousness.

[End chapter one. Please tell me how it is, and what I should do to make it better.]

[Nobody has yet replied. I'm still hoping for one though, so I'm gonna keep writing. Remember to say what you think of it.]

Chapter 2

Ryu woke with a start. He smelled blood, and smoke. He tried to get up, but realized that somebody was laying on him. Of all the wierdos he thought to himself as he tried to push the person off of him. As he pushed, he felt something wet on the man. Ryu looked at his hands. Blood! He realized the man on top of him was dead. There were screams from below, and the ground kept shaking. He rolled out from under the man, and tried to stand up. The effort made his leg scream with pain.

Probably broken. He cursed himself as he fell to one knee. He looked towards the elevator. It was destroyed. He could see the open sky above him where the robot had smashed the building. Then he felt the floor below him crumble, and he fell another story, this one fifteen feet high. His already broken leg made him scream in pain as he collapsed to the floor. He slowly got to one knee in agony, his broken leg making him just want to go to sleep and cry. But he didn't.

He looked around the room. There were hundreds of bodies in this room, but the stench hadn't carried yet. He had obviously been out cold for at the most, five minutes. Yet this many people were dead. He couldn't beleive it. He had known the war had been going on, always thinking that he was beyond reach. He was wrong. Here it was. War was in his own back yard.

He heard tanks fire and then heard people scream. Then he heard a vvvvvvvwooosh sound and heard a mighty explosion. That had to be the robot. He picked up a piece of wood that was nearby and used it as a crutch. Leaning on it, he headed towards an very large opening in the wall, where the robot had obviously hit the tower. He looked out and saw the great robot that filled him with despair. Being the same height as the Comissary tower, it was holding what looked like a giant rifle, and every time it fired, it made that vvvvvvvwooosh sound and took out an entire building. Then Ryu realized where it was. It was on direct course to his house! His dog! It didn't know to leave, and Tonva had already left to go to the mall earlier. His dog was there, unprotected. With that, Ryu rushed to the stairs as fast as a crutched person could.

He made it to the staircase, and then realized how futile his efforts were. There was no way he could make it down. It would take him days, and his dog would probably be dead in minutes. Ryu refused to lose hope, though. He moved back to the opening. Then he saw it. Attached to one of the corpses was a parachute. That was strange. Then Ryu realized why he had it. He was one those stunters who would jump off of stuff, or climb stuff. Apparently, he was intending to parachute off of the top of the comissary tower. Too bad he didn't.

Ryu didn't care too much that it was bloody as he strapped on the parachute pack. Then he looked out the gap. Was he really going to try this? Was his dog worth this much? He took a few steps back. Then he yelled, "YES!" and jumped.

[At last!!! Some feedback!!! Thank you for your support.]

Ryu felt the wind wipping through his hair as he dropped. He was dropping down next to the building, seeing floor after floor fly by. He reached and pulled the cord, releasing his parachute. He immediately felt the decrease in speed as he slowed his descent. Then he felt the wind blow him towards the robot. It was getting closer and closer to his home, as if it was targtting it. Ryu wished the wind would go faster, but he was lucky it was blowing the way he wanted it to.

The robot suddenly stopped walking. It lifted up it's gun and pointed right at Ryu's house. Ryu heard the loud vvvvwwwwwooooooooooshhhhhhhh. "NO!!!" He screamed. He saw a big purple light focus from within the center of the gun. He closed his eyes. There was the sound of a loud explosion that echoed throughout the entire dome. Ryu felt a tear stream through his closed eyes. He opened them and wiped his eyes, but what he saw was not what he expected. His house was still there. He looked at the robot, and saw that it was no longer holding he giant rifle, and that it was on the ground with rubble surrounding it. The robot appeared to be swatting at something. Then Ryu realized that there was a small group of ships flying around the robot like flies, with the robot trying to swat at them with its hands.

Ryu was suddenly revitalized with a new burst of hope. He continued floating towards his house as the robot finally met its target: one of the ships. At the sight of seeing the ship be destroyed, the others dispersed and fled. Ryu was close now. He had floated past the robot. He looked back. The robot was starting to bend down to grab the rifle it had dropped.

Ryu dropped down to his roof and collapsed. He struggled to his feet, tearing off the parachute and tried to run. He collapsed again, his leg searing with pain. He swore. He had forgotten that he'd broken his leg. He slowly limped to the edge, and finally reached it. It was only one floor to the ground, but it would still hurt really bad. He looked back at the robot. It was now leaning up from picking up the gun. Ryu jumped. He hit the ground onto his good leg and rolled. The shock of the fall still caused his broken leg to sear with pain. He felt more tears stream down his face. He grabbed a stick lying on the ground nearby and pulled himself to his feet, using the stick as a crutch. He hobbled to his front door, and fumbled around for keys. Then he realized that he'd never locked the door. He opened the door and his dog suddenly shot out.

Ryu watched his dog race away from the robot. He begin to hobble after it, when he heard the vvwwwwooooooosshhhhhhhhh. He let out a scream as the heat seared across his back from the beam, destroying his home. He began to feel the ground crumble out from under him. He looked behind him to see a giant hole where his home at just been. Then the ground crumbled completely and he fell into the hole.
