Poetry by FawkesthePhoenix

Postby FawkesthePhoenix » Sunday 29 June 2008 11:50:31pm

i have a ton of poems i've written just lying around, so i figured i post them here.
~~~~~~~~~~
Rushing waves and waters
Are loudest in the air
But when beneath the surface,
It's dead silence, everywhere
~~~~~~

Walking throught the wind,
It's soaring through my hair
It's roaring through my ears
The loudest sound is silence
~~~~~~
When All Hope Has Vanished
When death is sweet relief
And cruelty is power,
That is when mankind
Shall have its final hour
For when all hope has vanished
From each and every heart,
That is when the world
Shall truly fall apart
When a child is scared to cry
For they are told that tears are weak,
That is when all goodness
Shall sadly fail to speak
For when all hope has vanished
From each and every heart,
That is when the world
Shall truly fall apart
When life lacks all its color
And everything turns gray,
That is when mankind
Shall start to fade away
For when all hope has vanished
From each and every heart,
That is when the world
Shall truly fall apart
So rise up against oppressors
And paint over all that's gray
So all happiness we leave here
Shall never fade away.
~~~~~~~~

that's it for now, let me know what you think.

Pen upon the paper,
Eyes upon the book
Hands upon the clayshaper,
Huddled in a nook.
Watching, waiting,
Seeing, not speaking
Looking 'round for deceipt creeping
Recording what is seen and where
Striping away lies,
Until truth is bare.

ehh, i have a random bout of poetry coming on.......

Leaving the world
And myself behind
For my soul was a whirl
Out of body, out of mind

They'd said to run,
Before it was too late
Else I'd be shunned
And become an object of hate

So alone I stand
While all others sit
They say not to bit the hand
That brings you your grit

So I unite alone,
A singular plural, a two of one
Among composites I'm prime
'Cept of factors I have none

A one-man rebellion
Is dangerous to run

:oops: thanks.

The rain falls through fog
The clouds freeze like
As we dance through the bog
And roll like lost dice

We dance like a breeze
As we twirl past the trees
That act like a roof from the rain
We dance but our feet feel no pain

The wind keeps the beat
As we dance on our feet
We leap like a bird
Talking with no words

The flowers sway
From side to side
We dance away
Recov'ring our pride

The rain falls through fog
The clouds freeze like ice
As I dance through the bog
Being alone is just as nice

thanks, tingling sensations seem to be my specialty.

The grass shines with frost
The trees freeze like glass
A memory of what's lost
Preserving the past

I walk through the still
Of times long forgotten
My bones lace with chill
As my muscles tauten

No wind rustles the breeze
I can't quicken my pace
I can't reach the trees
Grief shows on my face

A perfect moment
Quickly turns ill
When time's fabric is bent
When perfect is still

For one to enjoy life
They can't have flawless forever

Do not fear Death
But don't waste your life
Each one's worth no less
Than the other

Life is a chance
To prove us our worth
Like working hard on a dance
Or preparing a hearth

Death is simply falling asleep
After a long, long day of life
Neither should be feared like a mountain that's steep
It's the transition that sometimes causes strife

Fire and Flame
Consume Frost and Ice
While WInd nips at their backs,
Encouraging the heist

The Ice fights the Fire
The Flame has the lead
The Ice begins to tire
The Frost soon conceeds

The Flame's victory's not sweet,
For the remains of the Ice
Soone doused out the Fire
Such is winning's price

More than Competitors
Are killed
In a Fight

You pointed to the street
And kicked me to the curb
But I landed on my feet
You didn't have the last word

You think you're better off
But you wish I'd never left
Just sit and think of soft
Words in two I cleft

We miss each other but
Would never accept it as truth
So our feeling's doors we shut
And remained aloof

Better for me than you
I easily shut my door
Because I left my heart and shoe
Shattered on your floor
***

I have no idea where that came from. Maybe it was that skittle I ate off the ground... :lol:
