What if Harry would join Voldemort?

He has such wonderfull skills! With closer training from Voldie - he would be so powerfull

(of course, voldie wouldn't let him get too powerful - I bet he would make sure that he would control his mind somehow)

Interesting idea, but well i dont think that it'd work out cus harry would inevitably become more powerful than voldie, and so voldie would be forced to kill harry before harry had the chance to become too powerful!

If Harry were to join Voldemort...that would, be a huge...strange, unexpected, but dramatic twist in the plot. Perhaps the Malfoy's will leave after that and become florists...*shrug*

yeah, but maybe Voldie would learn to harvest his power...Harry is a "goody" boy because he was brough up that way by Dumbledore, but if Harry was under Voldie's care - things could have been different.

Plus, do you honestly think Voldie thinks that Harry is a great all powerful wizard? I think the reason why Harry is winning so far is because Voldie underestimates him.

if herry would've joined voldy from the begining, i think voldy would've been smart enough (he being the best student hogwarts ever saw) and used harry to his full potential. i think that if valdemort would've had harry from the begining, he would realize his potantial to be a great wizard, and used every bit of that to his advantage, being ever so careful not to let harry get too big of a head because if he did, harry would probly take over voldemorts role (yes, as an evil wizard genius) and the last thing voldemort wants, (other than death of course) is to lose his "title". it would be very interesting to see an alternate harry potter series written with this twist. it would take someone w/ a very dark mind though, someone who could write an entire series of evil doing at the hand of 2 evil geniuses, who just happen to have magicla powers.

But how would LV have gotten around the inevitable fact that he caused the destruction of Harry's parents? Once Harry found this out, I don't think it would have sat v. well with him. Which would in turn lead to a charming little moral conflict as to which side he should really be on, and so on...

I mean, sure Harry would probably become powerful if he were to join LV, but I think that he'd eventually see the error of his ways and realise that he wasn't being true to himself, ne?

ok, so what if harry joined voldemort before he learned his parent fate. what if somehow voldemort would've gotten hold of him before hagrid took him to hogwarts the first time. i'm not sure how he'd do it, maybe quirrell or something, but that's beside the point. so, if voldemort had harry on his side before fe was 11 and harry never learned the truth about his scar and what happened to his parents, then what would've happened.

i think then my earlier theory (see my previous post) would've been quite possible. if this would've happened, how would the story have been different, how would the plot have changed. Would we have seen a Harry Potter and the destruction of Hogwarts or... what else, i don't know. this is where you guys come in. what is the alternate universe we are creating here? or perhaps, once he was older harry would turn on voldemort and take the power for himself, or he wou- no i'll stop no, leave some things for other people to think of...

If that were the case, I think that LV would have probably been able to throw Harry some story about his parent's dying at the hands of DD or what not, and convince him that his (Voldemort's) side was the one to be onn. Furthermore, were Harry to be siding with Voldemort, there's no knowing how powerful he could become. On the one hand, he could play the role of Voldemort's pawn, and be stuck in a Wormtail-esque role for the rest of his life. But what I find to be the more likely, is that he'd perhaps become as powerful as LV, himself. Again, this could lead to Harry either taking on LV and failing and probably meeting his death, or emergin victorious. In which case, he'd either take control of the DE's and such and take his place as the Dark Lord. Which could lead to a million other possibilities.

Yeh i agree with Kaizer. I think LV would have killed Harry, just to prove that he was the most powerful wizard in the world(plus of course the fact that he is an evil psycopath). Mind you,(Im trying not to spoil bk 5 for anyone), that would have messed up the prophesy.(I can't be any more specific)

i'm sorry to be superficial, i'm usually not (right zledm???) but seriously, if you were an abused eleven year old boy, would you join forces with a jolly, old man looking like a thin Father Christmas or a snake like skeletor with red cat eyes????? The imagery is too great for Harry to choose the wrong side. However, even if he had joined the dark side, Voldy would just kill him...i mean he obviously had a reason to kill him before, so why keep him around...Voldy is threatened, and Harry would be dum-dum-dum-done for if he had made the wrong choice.
