I think of it this way. Whatever u r feeling there are some things u associate with it. Harry - he is afraid of Fear, for him "Fear"="Dementor", because Dementors take away ur happiness and make u feel only fear/unhappiness.

So if someone is afraid of the night, they would associate smth with it, like an owl, a moon, a window with darkness behind it, smth like that..

I always imagine as Groo described it - a shapless thing floating in the air. However, perhaps the bogart keeps the shape of what the last person imagined him as. Like there could have been a double of Snape just walking around the castle XD

I have a very bad memory, what did boggart turn into once they said "Rediculous"?

well, it's been a while since i read the book, but in the movie it just turned into a humerous version of what it originally was. For example, the snape boggart turned into snape in neville's gradmother's clothing. I know there were inconsistancies between the book and the movie, so i don't know how accurate this is, but that's what i remember.

Well, I see it mostly as Mint sees it. But then, I just search in the 'Phobia' thread, and I instantaneously saw someone is afraid of loneliness. How can this be represented? Would the bioggart turn into a dungeon and cover you and nobody else?
And if you already are alone and the boggart appears?

Or if your greattest fear is to infected with the HIV virus? He would be so tiny he would cause no fear at all, cause you wouldn't see it. Now, the boggart could turn into a person with AIDS, but how could you tell?

I think you would feel or somehow know that the person is infected!!

If you are afraid of loneliness there are things that represent loneliness - perhaps, the boggart would turn into "you" a very scared looking, lonely replica of you ^_~

That seems plausible, but how would you know if they were lonely? they may just look sad. Or everyone else would dissappear, But, I still think that the fear has to be tangible in some way.
