Best time to buy!

Which one is your favorite so far. Are they getting even better as the characters develop over time?

Best time to buy!

Postby Run Away!!! » Friday 20 July 2007 5:54:30am

I just have to laugh, the best time to buy DH is definately tomorrow when its first released. The big chain stores are competing with each other so much that the prices have gone down so much. LIke in New Zealand the recommended retail price for stores is $55... im buying mine for $32.99... 4c more than what the store price was. Which means that the store is making 4c profit on each book :o 4 CENTS?!?!?! WOW! And The Warehouse, (which is NZ's biggest chain store basically the equivalent to wal-mart) is going to undercut that vowing that it will have the cheapest price in NZ.. so what.. they'll be making 2-3 cents? And like consumers are going to care about one cent!
I suppose they must have TONS of people buying the book to actually make it worthwhile, and I don't doubt that there is. Its just kinda funny don't you think?

So buy now!! Before the prices rise up to the proper retail price!! :P

I'm pretty sure at Barnes & Noble it's only $28 or something! That's what it is online. I'm not sure about the store.

 We're getting it for $18.99! And my sister has membership card so it'll be more like $16.99.

I was using NZ currency no naturally it should be about the same. Overall, they hardly make any profit unless they sell in bulk, which they most obviously are.

We got it for $20.99! :) They were selling it where I work for $18.99! The reason we didn't get it there is because I work in a grocery store, and they weren't having a fun midnight party.
