Let's see the scenes YOU want to see

Postby Colin » Wednesday 6 August 2003 5:06:11am

There have been tens of thousands of words written about what we think JKR will do in the future books. I doubt any of us can guess what she will do. She's too good for us. Instead, I'd liek to see what YOU wnat to see in a future book/movie.

What I want to see are scenes. Not books or novellas.

Write a scene. Something that would tickle you, or something that would shock you. Your scene could be one sentance of a fgew paragraphs.

Let your imagination go wild! Make it fun!!!

Interesting idea Colin! I'll keep the topic here and won't move it to the movies section (as was my first impulse) because some people want to write a scene of something from book5!

Do you best everyone! Especially those with a writerstalent (Meg) !

ok, well, here goes. (I'm no Meg, but i'll give it a shot)

He woke with a jolt, but didn't know why. It had happened before, but always was acompanied by a sharp pain on his forhead, in the vacinity of his lighning bolt shaped scar. This time was different, there was no pain, no preceeding nightmare, he simply woke with a start and bolted up out of his four poster bead. Something was wrong and Harry Potter knew it. How he knew it, he didn't know. He had seen things happen before, but always in dreams, dreams that seemed so real, that they had to be. Those dreams were real, but this, this was different; there was no dream, and yet he knew someting was up.

Instinctively, he went to his trunk and pulled out his dad's old invisibility cloak and left the boy's dormitory, went through the Gryffindor common room, and proceeded into the halls of the Hogwarts castle. He didn't know where he was going exactly, but knew that he would end up where he neded to be.

Dwn one hall and past another, up one set of rotating stairs and down the next; it was an ongoing circle that he knew would ulimitely lead to something, something he knew was happening. As he turned yet another corner he saw a flash of light, whach was quite odd for the middle of the night, and promptly quickened his pace. As he got to the end of the hall and looked aroud the corner, there they were, in a full out battle, a duel to the end if there could ever be one. There they were, the two poeple on the opposite most ends of harry's life. There was Professor Dumbledore, the one who Harry had more respect for than any other wizard he had ever know or heard of, and Lord Voldemort, the one who killed his parents and gave him his scar. There they were, right in fromt of him, in the middle of Hogwarts, dueling, one to undoubtedly get to Harry himself, and the other trying with all he had, to keep that from happening. Harry knew he couldn't stand there and watch, he had to leave or he had to- He started to walk again, towards the battle, pulled out his wand and shouted-

really sweet zledy...I never knew you could write too...I mean this is WAY better than that gothic novel you wrote in 10th grade called "And Out She Comes" or whatever...he he he...

no seriously this is cool, and I liked the scar leading him to the duel...although it seems rather Star Warsish because of the scene with Obi Wan and Darth Vader dueling...but I am a dork chop and I swear I can relate everything to Star Wars (even the Grapes of Wrath...lol)

yeah, except the scar didn't lead him to the duel, cause this time was different, his scar didn't hurt and there was no nighmare, he just knew. but, thanks!! :D

whoops my bad...sorry  ...but it just seems that his scar always leads him places, so I guess I was a bad reader and took it forgranted...sorry zledy...(like the new name?)

i just wanted to tell anyone that read my little thinger up there that i don't think there's gonna be any more of it cause the wheels just stopped turnin on that one and now i've got a killer idea for a fan fin that hopefully i will post w/in the next couple weeks or so. (it all depends on time) so, i suppose you'll just have to imagine what happened next. (and, well, i suppose that could just be the end of the scene. you know, a cut to another one or something.)
