I think that Sirius Black really isn't dead. For other deaths, she focused on the passing more, this one, it was over with in two pages. I think maybe Lupin told Harry that Black was dead to get him to focus on the drama at hand. Perhaps JK left it open ended to see how fan reaction was, and then to finalize the 'is he or isn't he dead?' question in book 6. There really was NO finalization in the death. And what's behind the veil? I personally believe that this wasn't the last we'll see of Mr. Black.
ETA: As Sonkem pointed out below (thanks for catching this! ), I have edited your title accordingly...just be careful in the future ...thanks! ~ Lizzy
um, please be careful with your thread titles...thats a massive spoiler for anyone who visits the forum you posted this in or uses the searches....
and i'm sure ive seen this thread on here already
i personally beleive he is dead
i think that the viel is the doorway into the world of the dead, the dead themselves crowd at the doorway because they miss relatives maybe or just living and the gateway is the closest they can get to the living world now that they have chosen not to become a ghost.....
metalwasp... once again, please search the forum for similar theories... this topic has been dealt with a few times too... a suggestion would be that you read through the other threads here before you start posting new topics... that way, we won't have repetitive threads here. Thanks.
Another one is a thread in page 2 called "The Arch and Veil"... or you could go to threads mentioning about Sirius, especially in the 'Theories' and 'Characters' section of the Book 5 forums.
