But to be honest if you think about it, I can't see how it could'nt be, I mean Voldemort has rised up, a big charicture is going to die and at the end of GOF it sounded like Dumbledore was getting set up for a great fight, so yes its going to be darker.
Mint, I think (if I may be so bold to interpret Boycey) Boycey wasn't insulting the interview as much saying it has truth to it...that how could it not with what culminated in book 4? One of the most aggrevating things about some interviews (and *not* this one--I just read it myself!
) is that you don't know how much validity the person being interviewed necessarily has.
Seeing as the illustrator had to read the book in order to then make the cover for the book, she obviously has an insider perspective and, given the date of this interview, couldn't afford to spoil anything. Now that I've read book 5, I have to say she was completely right about the cover expressing the mood of the book...so really, I think Mint, you gave us an interesting interview to read, and Boycey, you were correct in saying that given the events of book 4 and what was likely to happen in book 5, a darker tone was inevitable.
