What happened in those nineteen years?

Which one is your favorite so far. Are they getting even better as the characters develop over time?

Yeah but Ted was like 19 at the time. So it wasn't likly that he's still be in the house. Plus when James and Albus were born, he'd be at Hogwarts or too little to really remember him.

Uh.. Harry was 17. Im certain Tonk's mother kept Ted and Harry was just involved in his upbringing. I don't think Tonk's mum was about to let a 17 year old go off and take care of her grandchild by himself. And if Harry did take Ted and raise him at his house then he would have sent Ted off to Hogwarts himself with his own children, not just run into him there. Of course it does say Ted is always at their house for dinner, but doesn't mean he's lived there as part of the family.

Good point, but Ted would be out of Hogwarts at this time:

I still don't think they would leave a 17 year old to take care of a baby. Just because your'e the godparent doesn't necessarilly mean you always get full custody.

Yeah, I don't think Harry had custody of Ted. Usually, a baby would go to living relatives if those relatives want the baby.

Ted was 19, so he was only 2 years out of Hogwarts. James and Albus would have remembered him being in their house. For all we know, James and Ted were at Hogwarts at the same time. It never said what year James was in.

Lots of gaps, indeed. And there is no better way to end this tale than as such. If everything had been wrapped up nicely for us, all to loose ends tied, there's be nothing to discuss! (I'm sure Paul would not be too thrilled.) No doubt, however this book, this series, would've ended, it's legend would be substantial, but now that there are yet unanswered questions, further things to ponder, Harry Potter, and his entire magical world, live forever. Curiosity, not entirely thwarted by Deathly Hallows, will allow it to continue to please young readers for generations. Splendid work JKR, splendid.

I agree, that epilogue at the end was almost like some kind of fan-fiction that somebody else wrote.. it was that bad.
I would assume that professor mcgonagall is the headmistress. Unless she died of old age in those 19 years, and its not Harry, or he would have been there hehehe. I would assume that Kingsley Shacklebolt became the Minister of magic permanently.. he'd be a great minister.

Now, now, Run Away. I've (sadly, taken the time to) read some pretty good (by good, I mean Kick-butt!) fan fiction.

Errr, I dout it. she's no where the age of DD, and wizards live for a lot longer time. Although she may have retired, but I dout it.......

I also thought there were a lot of gaps.

What did Lily and James do for a profession?
Did our heros live as muggles in the end - it kind of sounded that way by the way Ron was speaking.
why did she tell us about Harry's second son going to Hogwarts and not the first?
