What does Lucious do for a living?

Which one is your favorite so far. Are they getting even better as the characters develop over time?

Ahh.. yeah well he'd a Death Eater isn't he, so I'd expect him to have a certain skill for murder.

Besides potentially being the "rich owner" of the Riddle House and giving suspicious donations to St. Mungo's (because, you know, he *really* cares about the well being of innocent people   ), I don't know. I'm sure it's been said on here somewhere, but honestly, I don't like the thought of Neville's parents being in the same institution where someone like Lucius gives handouts! He's shown, on a number of occasions, to throw money at people to get his way or have control over matters. :o

I don't get the impression that Lucius works at all...it seems more like he holds positions (like being one of the governors) where he can manipulate things to his will (like getting Buckbeak executed, getting Dumbledore suspended, etc.) of power and throws his money around...which he likely inherited. I suppose he could work somewhere he's actually expected to show up and perform tasks, but to quote Sirius, "I'll eat Buckbeak" if he does!

Na, i think Lucius is a 'man of leisure', and makes his money through trading items assiociated with the Dark Arts

I agree. THat or he's a hitman

yeah, i'm going to say inherited money, he is a pureblood, and one who is a "respected pureblood," he married narcissa, who was from the black family and obviously also had a lot of money. I'm going to guess that most of the purebloods who value "pure-bloodedness," or basically the jerks, have inherited money

He's old money so I agree with what some others have said, that he just holds postions on different boards and such, including his own evil version of philanthropy.

yeah, but that doesn't seem like a career as much as a hobby, i doubt anyone would pay him for that, except voldemort, and he was gone for 13 years

mrs. black(sirius' mother) probably gave him a lot of money in her will, with him being a death eater and all...

I don't think Sirius's mom would need to give Lucious money, especially since he's only one pure blood person her relatives married into. It wouldn't make sense. plus, I don't think he needs the financial help

yeah, suffice it to say, they have a lot of money, and it doesn't really matter what he does, if he does anything, he will have inherited it, and besides, i bet he won't be doing it anymore, from inside azkaban, but who knows how long he'll be there now that the dementors are gone
