what a super title...it really makes you think...and you know Mark Evans could be it, but it kinda ruins my squib theory, so some one lesser like Seamus or perhaps Justin Finch-Fletchley could hold the key...i mean in every book they make a huge point of saying the Seamus is half blood

--or--

Perhaps it is Draco...maybe his parents aren't BOTH his REAL parents...i mean he is pretty prince-like

Just a thought...

Half Blood Prince... *scratches her head* I have no idea who it can be. And why prince? It's a suberb title, I love it, truly confusing. There's this prince, one would think of someone aristocratic like the Malfoys, but then half blood... I don't know. A prince of what?

ummm Mark Evans is a little boy that Dudley beats up or something in the beginning of OotP, who lives near Harry. His role is miniscule in the 5th book, but we all feel pretty much that his role will increase as the story unfolds...

i must say that the title took me by surprise. i thought that the sixth book will be an allout war with the focus on Harry alone, but the title suggests that there will be extra attention on some new guy,

and the word 'Prince" suggests that he would be helpful as a leader of some sorts in the war, or maybe its my excessive imagination :D

Maybe "half-blood" relates not to the wizarding blood but to the "royal" blood? He could be a pureblood wizard or a squib, but his only partly a prince.

After browsing around BaO for a bit, I found this interesting fact in the JKR forum here, in a thread containing quotes from a recent interview...

Siriusstar: Is Remus a pureblood?
JK Rowling replies -> Half blood.

Perhaps Lupin is our lil' half blood prince?

 theories on this everywhere! :-)

I'm gonna lock this, because it's turning into a thread identical to one in Theories.

You can view it at: Half-Blood Prince.
