What would make you not want to read any more HP?

Which one is your favorite so far. Are they getting even better as the characters develop over time?

The one thing that would...destroy my loyalty to the HP series would be the unjust killing of Draco. Ha, I'd have a bitterly run book burning!! Well, maybe not that so much, but I would stamp my foot a lot...maybe throw things.

I think she'd have to go seriously off the rails to stop me reading it, you know like:

Killing the trio
Killing ONE of the twins and forcing the other to go evil
Draco becomes a nice person (in a sickly way)
Sirius becomes evil (think about it :-? )
Lupin dies (not enough on it's own but...)
etc, etc.

I'm with Blaise on the Mary Sue thing. That could be the one thing that would threaten to turn me off of the series. One obnoxious Mary Sue (Fleur Delacour) was more than enough, thanks.

Just as long as JK doesn't take a lesson from the fanfic people, and start writing in some raven-haired she-Snape with a mysterious brilliant talent for Potions and a sly streak to rival Malfoy's (IMO, the WORST kind of Mary Sue possible, and one of the most frequent offenders... ), all will be well.

Yeah, no to sopp romance in HP books.
I would stop reading them if they lost their originality and used the same ideas over again - e.g. going back in time as in PoA. I want there to be something new in each book as well as developing the characters and continuing with the story.

thats true! i didn't think about that, hermy, because the books have been so incredibly original so far, but if they became boring and unoriginal i would lose interest in them.

Switching Sides....good guys going bad or bad guys going good....well it could happen without dissapointment under certain cases, but the primaries like Voldie, Harry, Ron, Hermione, Daraco and his daddy, DD and other teachers (snape not included)...ect.
