When a new HP comes out, I run to Barnes and Noble and buy two hard cover books. First I put one in a vaccum sealed bag and hidden in a cool dark place and forget about it until I want I have all of them in mint condish. and keep them on my mantle and stare at them lovingly. The other copy I read and throw in my bag to take to school
i never get the paperback version of the book if i have already bought it because it is just another £8-7 pound that could of spent on a new book. although if i buy a book that has been out for ages i try to get the paperback for the flexibility.
I have all paperback books of HP except OotP, and it's a bit annoying because once I finish GoF, I won't be able to take OotP to work to read because it's too bulky & heavy. Plus it doesn't really match the rest of my collection
Also, what is the point of dust jackets on paperbacks? I mean, here it's just the same artwork as on the cover anyway, and they just get all scungy and annoying. Only time they're ever useful to me is if i use it as a bookmark.
