Harry's Attitude

Postby Tanuki » Monday 11 July 2005 1:14:37am

How is it that someone bullied for as long as he was by the Dursleys as Harry, can still give smart answers back and defy the Dursleys? Shouldn't his spirit have been crushed and his perseption schewed? I mean, after so many years, shouldn't Harry believe the things the Dursley's say abojut him?

I did think of that a while ago actually. When Harry was 10, just before he knew he was a wizard, you would of thought that his spirits would of been totally quashed.
After all, it's all he's ever known. Also, the Dursleys have been horrible to him and all, but after a while, surely he might have picked up some of their normal traits.

well, I don't think he was bullied after he became known as a wizard that much. Plus, he probably got used to it. Sometimes in relationships ppl get used to each other and stop taking insults seriously.....
