death eater problem *spoilers*

Postby Salazar Slytherin » Monday 15 August 2005 9:33:09am

how is harry or anyone ever going to stop the death eaters if they are too scared to use unforgivable curses, do they expect the death eaters to sit in azkaban like good little children?

Also, im not even sure if unforgivables can be cast on death eaters because during duel with snape and harry he makes it sound like unforgivables are unusable on death eaters.

yep, unforgivables can be used against DE's. remember in GoF, sirius or someone says in a discussion about barty crouch that he gained alot of favour when LV was all powerful because the people thought he was fighting the DE's the right way (using violence against violence) because he allowed aurors to use the unforgivable curses.

and i just don't think that eth trio are meant to use unforgivable curses. it's not their style, i would be disappointed if they did use unforgivables because if they did you get the feeling that they'd be just as bad as the DE's. it's like sinking to their level.

yea but how are they gonna keep the death eaters in line when all harry does is cast paralysis curses i mean theyre gonna join together and break out of azkaban you can expect them to just sit there.

i think harry and co. will probably learn some new powerful magic, maybe ancient magic or something as DD always said LV was really ignorant towards that kind.

thestral i agree i don't want them to start using the unforgivables it would ruin the idea of the goodness the have....

Ancient magic can't be learned... and you're assuming the dementors were the only thing keeping prisoners in azkaban. There could be a whole lot of things restricting them

im pretty sure dementors are only thing blocking azkaban and there has been a mass escape from Azkaban and it would be a million times more probable with all those death eaters in there

Then why aren't Lucious Malfoy or any of the other people arrested at the MOM out yet? Loyal servants of Voldermort would be very keen to get out

ughh this part is obvious i almoast feel bad for pointing it out.. dumbledore says it himself, he says he bets lucius is happy to be in azkaban because he has failed voldemort miserably and would no doubt be punished or killed if he was not protected by the walls of azkaban, so he has made no move to get out.

i mean really if you were in danger of being killed by the strongest dark wizard alive and the only way of protection would be behind a prison wall im sure you would stay there as long as possible

Okay, so that's Lucius' reason for staying there, but what about the others?

Now that I really think about it, I think I'm agreeing with you for the first time. If there was more keeping people in Azkaban than the dementors, then how could Sirius have escaped?

We do have to remember that the prisoners don't have wands.

Well, on the wizards having to cast Unforegivable C.s on the DEs....if they dont have thier wands they cannot do spells, if harry freezes em, and takes away thier wands, thier as good as muggles.
