k i know this isn't that important but for the first task the champions face dragons. because harry was put in and everyone was only expecting 3 champions how did they get an extra dragon? as they were only expecting 3 champions their should have only been 3 dragons shipped over or however they got them...

Well, remember, it wasn't just the dragons that were "shipped" over to the tournament. Charlie and a number of other wizards came along, and they didn't show up until right before the first task, so I assumed Charlie or someone else in charge was sent an owl immediately saying that Harry was the fourth person in the tournament, so instead of three dragons, they would need to bring four (and, apparently, there are plenty dragons wherever Charlie is, since, after all, that is his job)

I think that that is why Harry faced the Hungarian Horntail (which was by far the most dangerous dragon). Charlie and his work mates probably had a bit of a tight deadline and had to get the first dragon they could before the First Task.

or maybe they hadn't planned to have the common welsh one because as we were told it was the least deadliest.. so they may have had to just take the only british dragon they could get because they were in britain and would be able to get hold of one easier

I think that the dragons came from Romania though. At least that is the impression I got from the story. *shrugs*

Its a matter of time really. The first task wasn't immediatly following the selection of participants. There was easily enough time to inform whoever was in charge of getting the dragons.

The selection takes place on Halloween. The first task takes place on November the 24, so there's almost a month in between... and I assume the dragons only show up a day or so before the first task, since I would imagine Charlie would drop in to see Fred, George, Ron and Ginny, and also Harry and Hermione, if he arrived much earlier than that.

yeah..obviously they wouldn't want to hang around for too long through fear of being seen as the tasks were surpossed to be secret!

Wouldn't it have been cool to have Norbert back for the first trial.

Surely he must be practically full-size by that time.

That's a cool idea so maybe since that can't happen it would be really cool if Hagrid rode Norbert in the big battle at the end!

  It would be wierd! But it´s a possiblility that we might see Norbert again, although Grawp is a more pressing matter, I wonder what happened to him in the end...
