So whats going to happen with quidditch

Were all three chasers in OoP 7th years and have to be replaced in the next book. Who do you think the team will be. We'll have those two dumb guys as beaters, Harry as seeker, Ginny as one chaser, and Ron possibly as Keeper. That leaves two chasers. Maybe one of those kids Harry shares a dorm with, the one who loves soccer? Probably one of the 2nd years, to keep the team age diverse.

I'm still standing by my prophecy for GQT. But Athena raised a good point about Harry not playing quidditch. Dumbledore may not even allow him to play because of all the "dark" stuff going on next book. Remember in book 3 the teachers didn't want Harry being outside unsupervised. I would really hate for Harry to quit because quidditch is one of my favorite things about the series.

Maybe that's why I argue the point of Harry quitting: I can't stand the Quidditch parts...

I see what you're talking about with all the dark stuff going on... but I do think that one big thing that will be a decision-maker is Harry really wants to be an auror, and even McGonagall, a teacher who likes him, says that he'll have to work really really hard. That's not Snape just baiting him and trying to make him feel lower than dirt, it's McGonagall, who would be sacrificing a lot herself (she wants Gryffindor to win) but who would realize that it's more important that Harry study than spend a lot of time on the Quidditch field. I'd say it's a combination of the dark arts and the need to study.

Fluffy, as far as who you're saying will be on the team, are you pulling from any past experience that would show they would, or just pulling names out of a hat? Dean has never shown any inclination to play quidditch. He keeps the soccer poster up because they're his team, and he even stands by them when he's made fun of for the poster with no moving people. His talent so far lies in art. So.....??

That wasn't me that was untouchable...We have same avatars, confusing I know.

I think that McGonagall won't prepare him for real, now when Umbridge is gone,I think she said that just like that(but than again maybe I'm mixing to much her and 'head' of my class...)

Sorry bout that... I didn't realize Untouchable had the same avatar. My bad.

Okay, same question for Untouchable.

McGonagall would be one BAD teacher if she tells Harry she'll help him reach his dream and then doesn't just because Umbridge isn't around anymore. I would lose a LOT of respect for her as a teacher and a mentor.

I agree. I think the only reason Harry will be able to get into NEWT potions is because McGonagall will pull strings, eventhough Harry said he did a lot better on his OWL without Snape there. I don't think he achieved an Outstanding.

There, i fixed the Avatar confusion, i don't think anyone else has this one.

I was just pulling ideas outta thin air, i have no idea who it could be. But I think Dean would be a good one.

In the Fan Fiction I am writing the Gryffindor Quidditch team is:

Harry - Seeker/Captain
Ron - Keeper/Acting Captain (when Harry is out of commission which happens at the start of the season)
Chasers - Ginny, Gem and Ryan (who are twins and first years)
Beaters - Jack Sloper, Andrew Kirke
Reserve player - Dean Thomas beater/chaser

Yeah, I understand... I just read it as McGonagall, and I don't think she would say that and refuse to follow through, particularly if Harry went to her about it... But even if he doesn't, I think she'll be helping him quite a bit...

True but someone asked who people thought would be on the team in the next book
so I came up with the names of known players that are still going to school there
and if quidditch is in the next book somebody new will have to show up.

This is still all for fun right?

Are you all sure that Sloper and Kirke will continue with them being so hopeless in the last book? i mean, shrieking and falling when a bludger approaches is a bit too bad.

one can argue that they would improve and that there is nobody else, but it would be better for the team if someone else takes the places
btw is anyone in Gryffindor big and burly after Wood?

btw, i read somwhere that someone was to switch houses. i dont know if the point was raised before but maybe that person will be in the team ??
