Or perhaps she's just not evil at all, just stuck in a horrid marriage that gives her the image of being evil. She's probably miserable and trapped in a situation that she can't get out of. I agree with Siana: I just don't see her as being an evil person.

When taken in that respect, I think that the definition of 'spoiled honey' could also indicate someone who was once happy and sweet but who's know miserable and rotten. Maybe it doesn't really have to do with being good or evil at all, just the person's personality. I still think Narcissa.

But then something's just nagging at me... I still cant' see Lucious letting her get a job!

why not? He's been sacked as (I think it was ) govenour. Maybe he needs an 'insider' in Hogwarts...but this is also why I don't think they'd want her in Hogwarts...just imagine...a Malfoy, of all, as a DADA teacher?

End of GoF, when it came out that he had threatened the other governors into removing Dumbledore as Headmaster.
Though I still believe that it could be Narcissa, I see where Holly is coming from. For her to go out into the workplace would definitely be a contradiction of what I say as being Lucius' values: He's an elitist, meaning he probably wouldn't want his wife teaching, or even being near, Muggle children; He's definitely a womanizer and would probably rather his wife be at home; He's also an egotist and wouldn't want his wife out having a job while he was just fired from one. That would be a definite blow to his ego.
However, it's a good point that Lucius would want her to have the job to still maintain his hand in Hogwarts. And the description just really makes me think of a Malfoy.
Meh, there's definitely enough evidence to go either way. But I still think it might be her.

theres no mention of him at all at the end of gof as far as i can see...if you meant chamber of secrets i dont think it happened there either all dumbledore did was to tell lucius he knew what lucius had been doing but nothing was actually done about it as far as i can tell....

I'm not sure where it is, but is defenitiley mention Sonk (but not in GoF) maybe it was in the beggining of Azkaban (I doubt it), but I remember Lucius not being a govenor anymore (and I don't think they get paid)

also, I kind of see Lucious as being a kind of trophy wife guy... And you dont'a ctually trust improtant things to trophy wives, do you... after all, sterio-typically, they are attractive and not always too bright...

Either that, or that she is just as nasty as he is, which I think is a definate posisblilty!

But haveing her working would be a definatee blow to his ego,and remember, Lucious is all about outward appearences, and Draco certainly about ketting people know who rich he is... ahven't Narcissa work, especially at Hogwarts, woud take away from that image big time...

nope, no mention of lucius being sacked at the end of cos...ive just read through it from the point when harry enters mcgonagall's office and i cant find any mention of it

i wonder if there will be new member into the quidditch reserve team
since the 3 chasers n 2 beaters will be in their final yr, i bet they need new bloods for the new quidditch team in the 6th book...(but that will be ages b4 the book come out so we've got a lot of time thinking... )
